CGC Landran is a decent technological institute. It is especially good for branches such as CSE or IT. The placement opportunities offered are excellent for these streams. Companies such as Amazon, Google, IBM, Dell, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. take part in CGC Landran placements. During placements 2022, the highest CTC offered in the campus drive was INR INR 45.50 LPA.
Both the campus has their own merits and demerits. Go through the following points to find out.
These are the basic difference between the two campuses. Now, it’s up to you to choose which is better for you.

CSE at CGC Landran is great. The department has experienced professors. The academics offered are pretty good. CGC Landran organizes frequent industry visits and guest lectures to keep students up to date with the ever-changing industry trends.
CSE students bag the maximum number of placement offers in the campus drive. According to the recent highlights of CGC Landran placements, the highest CTC received by CSE students is around INR 40 LPA.
CGC Landran is a good institute and is marked with an excellent placement in branches like CSE and IT, a decent faculty, and good enough campus life. Here’s a brief highlight of CGC Landran, based on what I heard about the institute from my friends at the institute.

Therefore, CGC Landran is a decent option for students, especially in CSE and IT. An institute should not be rated harshly whatsoever of its disadvantages, being a joint effort of several people for its betterment.
When it comes to pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Lovely Professional University (LPU) stands out as the best private university compared to CGC and Landran. Here's why:
There are a plethora of parameters based on which one can decide which college is better than the other. But at the same time, your choices and your priorities also matter to decide which college you will opt for. You might not get all the fulfillments in the college checklist but you can set your priorities. Coming onto the question, if you are willing to decide among CGC Landran and CCET Chandigarh, you are comparing two very different colleges.
Let’s decide based on different criteria:
Placement: If you are one among the students to whom the ultimate goal is to get into a reputed company after Engineering, CGC Landran will be the right choice. You know why? Go through the placement records given below:

The placement stats of CGC Landran is way better than CCET Chandigarh.
If you want the stamp of Panjab University on your degree, then you can opt for CCET Chandigarh. Although, CCET will not provide you with any extra benefits/royalties like Panjab University. Instead of CCET, UIET is a better choice.
From the study point of view, there is not much difference between these two colleges.
A few of my friends are CGC Landran alumni and their rutin at the institute was somewhat like the following.
Next morning, you have the same routine which continues till Friday. College is off on Saturdays and Sundays. This routine that I have mentioned goes on for the next 3 years. Till then, you'd be categorized as seniors and prone to mass-bunks. Plus when you're in your 4th year of college, your timings would just be from 09:30 to 02:00 PM.
Once a year the institute celebrates Parivartan fest, sports day, Baishaki festival, etc. Each branch also has its separate fests in which students from different branches can take part. All in all life at CGC Landran will be quite fun.
CGC Landran is not a good institute to pursue MBA, because the placement scenario is very poor in CGC Landran. There are joint placements drives for all three colleges which are CGC Landran, CGC Jhanjheri, and CU.
I know a few people from the institute and I have not received good reviews about the MBA program that they offer. You can join the institute if you are willing to opt for a job with a 20,000 salary after finishing your degree.
The average offered here ranges from 4-5 LPA with top recruiters like Wipro, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Deloitte, Aditya Birla Group, Tommy Hilfiger
Although CGC Landran started first, the MBA program at Chandigarh University is unmatched. The University School of Business at CU offers great international exposure, which is a major advantage for anyone studying here.
The university provides opportunities for an international semester exchange, a semester abroad, and frequent interaction with international experts. The MBA program at CU also hosts international faculty from institutions of great repute to deliver sessions and international university add-on courses for the students.
Some recent sessions included an international expert session on Statistical Models for correlated non-stationary count response data by Dr. Vandana Jowaheer from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Mauritius, Reduit, Mauritius. The students also attended international expert sessions on Applied Research by Professor (Dr.) Prem Chhetri from RMIT University, Australia, where discussed the depth of knowledge about the supply chain, which starts from the producer and ends up with the customer.
Moreover, the students attended international expert sessions on Strategy to Gain Competitive Advantage by Dr. Ching-Pu-Chen, CGO, Global Affairs Office, Yuan Ze University, where he talked about how companies are incorporating values and culture in the organization to gain a competitive advantage in the market. Such expert sessions enrich the students with the latest updates regarding entrepreneurial and job opportunities in the market, as well as the needs of the industry. Therefore, the MBA program at CU provides an excellent opportunity for international exposure and knowledge enhancement.
