Amala Institute of Medical Science MBBS Admissions 2023 will begin soon. For the MBBS admission, students are required to appear for NEET-UG entrance exam. NTA has announced NEET 2023 exam date in the recently published exam calendar. NEET exam date 2023 is May 7, 2023. NEET 2023 registration will begin soon at neet.nta.nic.in.

Established in 2005 at Thrissur in Kerala, Amala Institute of Medical Sciences often abbreviated to AIMS is one of the medical colleges of Kerala that provide quality education at under Graduation, Post-graduation, and doctoral levels. MBBS Undergraduate medicine Duration: 5.5 years

Amala Institute of Medical Sciences Admission

The admissions to the various courses in the Amala Institute of Medical Sciences in Thrissur are based on entrance exams. Whereas for Diploma, B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses are given on the basis of previous exam qualifying marks:

Amala Institute of Medical Sciences Placement

There are no companies visiting the college for placements. But the college provides internships for successful students. During the internship, the college pays a stipend of up to INR 15,000 per month. However, there are innumerable opportunities for medical graduates after completion of MBBS. Even DMLT, DRRT, and Nursing graduates easily get jobs as there is a high requirement for such skilled employees in the whole country.

Several students go for higher studies and super specialties. They also receive a stipend during their tenure of studies and research. Some medical graduates pursue JIPMER or USMLE to study abroad.

The medical college has created various facilities for students during their study tenure at the college. Some of the facilities are mentioned below:

  • Hostel: The college has a separate girls and boys hostel in the premises itself. However, it is limited and is mainly the allocation is given to MBBS students and P.G students.
  • Mess: The college has a mess facility for the hostel students. It is hygienic and follows all the safety measures and the food is available at subsidized rates.
  • Library: The college has a library and a separate reading room for studying. The library has an excellent collection of books and also has a great collection of reference books related to the courses including foreign journals, guides, and e-resources. It is open for students from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
  • Gym: The college focuses on the overall development of its students and hence it encourages physical activities too. The gym has a trainer and is fully equipped.
  • Sports clubs: the premises has volleyball courts, badminton court, football ground etc.

Ques. Is there a hostel facility for B.Sc nursing students?

Ans. There is a hostel in the premises but preference is given to MBBS and P.G students.

Ques. Is there an entrance exam for nursing courses?

Ans. No, the admission is based on the scores of previous qualified exam.

Ques. Is there a reservation for SC/ST?

Ans. Reserved seats are available for Minority communities and general candidates. Some seats are reserved under the NRI quota. Thus seats are not reserved for SC and ST category students.

Ques. What is the registration fee?

Ans. The registration fee is INR 400 for all courses. The student needs to express registration for each course on a separate application form.

Ques. Is there an entrance exam for paramedical courses?

Ans. The college offers 2 paramedical courses DMLT and DRRT, the admissions for both are based on the scores of the previously passed exam.
