Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College is located in the Thaikkattussery near Ollur, in the Thrissur city, at the state of Kerala. It was established in the year 1976. This college was affiliated to the Kerala university of health science Vaidyaratnam and approved by Central council of Indian medicines. This college was popularly known as VAC, Thrissur. 

VAC was started to serve the students with the best Ayurvedic care. Now the college is the best one among the Ayurvedic colleges. Two courses are offered by this college. BAMS(Bachelor of Ayurveda Medical and Surgery) and MAMS( Master of Ayurveda Medical and Surgery). This is an outstanding institution in terms of academic excellence and achievements. Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College Admissions 

  • To get admission in the UG course, the candidates must have to attend the NEET.
  • To get admission in the PG course, the candidates have to appear in the AIAP GET.

A candidate can visit the official portal of Commissioner of Entrance examination, Kerala, to get themselves registered for NEET, Kerala state counselling. There are some procedures to take up in the counselling. There are 85% seats are reserved in the state quota and 15% for all India quota. Some of the steps are to be followed.

Ans. Yes, you can pursue MD/MS after BAMS in the following deciplines, Agadatantra, Ayurveda samhita evam siddhant, Dravyaguna vigyana, Karmarabhritya Bala Roga, Rachana Sharira, Mano Manasa Roga, Kayachikitsa Kriya Sharira, Rasa Shastra Bhaishijya Kalpana, Rasayana evam vajikarana, Roga nidana evam vikriti vigyana, shalakya and yoga.

Ques. What is the tuition fee for the BAMS course?

Ans. The tuition fee is coming around 10,000/- per annum. The fee is based on the conditions in the scholarship. It may change year by year based on the fee structure framed by the college.

Ques. Can I do BAMS if I didn’t study Sanskrit before?

Ans. Yes, you can do BAMS, Sanskrit is not necessary to pursue this degree. The subjects which are all you studied in the 12th board examination are required like physics chemistry and biology. These three subjects are needed to get a seat.
