Course Curriculum Overview:

The CSE and IT courses in Vasavi college of engineering have the best placement record averaging CTC of 7lpa where companies like ServiceNow, Visa, Cisco, Oracle, etc. attend for placement recruitment. In VCE there are almost 25-30 faculty in every department, with almost an average of 15 years of experience in their bag, and an almost 1:3 ratio of faculty to students in each department. All the teachers are Highly qualified and have an average of 15 years of experience. Every teacher in VCE uses a blackboard and projectors for teaching, and most of the teachers only teach the subject, many of them don't give more insights despite having more experience. VCE has three quizzes, three assignments, two internals, and one external per semester for each course. The academic pressure is more, so students have to focus on classes that are been taught and daily revise topics. It is easy to pass the semester exams.

Vasavi College of Engineering: 25 answered questions

Ques
What is the management quota fee in Vasavi for CSE, ECE, mech and it branches?

● Top Answer By Nilisha Kumari on 31 Aug 21

Ans
There are two ways to get admission at Vasavi College of Engineering: Convenor quota: 70% of seats come under this category and the fee is 1.6 lakhs per year B-CAT: The remaining 30% of seats are filled through this. In B-CAT, 15% of the seats are for JEE Main qualified students and 15% of seats are for NRI students. The merit list for the students applying through NRI sponsored is prepared as per their IPE marks. The fee under this category is 5000USD. This amount is to be paid by an NRI student to the college. Students getting admission based on their JEE Mains marks are charged the same fee as Convenor quota which is Rs. 1.6 lakhs per year.

Ques
Which college is better for mechanical engineering, Vasavi or VNR (Hyderabad)?

● Top Answer By Shreemani Roy on 18 Aug 21

Ans
Vasavi College of Engineering has been bestowed with an experienced faculty and an extremely good placement report over time.  The students of this institute are greatly disciplined as well. The major upside of Vasavi College of Engineering comes with the training it provides. Both on the enhancement of several soft skills and communication skills.  It offers open elective courses to students for creating a knowledge base in allied courses.  The institute encourages Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) following the sixth semester for making students industry-ready when placement offers to drive in.  Alongside many other advantages, it offers interested students coaching for the preparation of CAT as well.  Categories Mechanical Engineering at Vasavi College of Engineering Course Fee 5.20 lakhs Placement Percentage 65-70% Highest CTC 16 LPA Average CTC 8-10 LPA Recruiting Companies KIA Motors, Tech Mahindra, L&T, Infosys, etc. Make an informed decision while choosing between the two. Hope this helps in answering your query.

Ques
Is a Maharashtra state candidate eligible for admission to Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad? If yes, what is the procedure?

● Top Answer By Yash Reddy on 20 Aug 21

Ans
There are 3 ways through which you can enter Vasavi College of Engineering (VCE). These are EAMCET, JEE Mains, or NRI / NRI Sponsored. If you opt to apply through EAMCET, you will need an excellent EAMCET score in order to be admitted to VCE.  If you are non-local, you are only eligible to fill 15% of the total seats under the convenor category. 85% seats are reserved for locals.  CSE, IT, and ECE disciplines may require a triple-digit rank.  As one of my friends scored 55, 153 AIR in Mains 18 and applied under B-CAT, he was offered Mechanical and he accepted it. The best thing about B-CAT admissions is that there are no reservations and the cost structure is the same as for EAMCET applicants, which is now 1.6 LPA.  In the month of June, the college issues notification for B-CAT applicants, which you'll check on the official website.  You must pay the application cost, and register as an applicant, providing all of your information (JEE Rank, XII Marks, etc.).  The fourth option is to apply through the NRI category, which follows the same method as the Mains application. However, you would be admitted based on a merit list of XII marks obtained. It is extremely difficult to get a seat in the CSE branch. Last year's NRI cutoff for CSE was around 97% and there are similar trends for ECE and IT as well.  Mechanical and Civil have comparatively low cutoffs around 75 percent. So, a Maharashtrian candidate is eligible to enroll at Vasavi College of Engineering if you go through any of the ways mentioned above.

Ques
Who is the worst faculty at Vasavi College of Engineering?

● Top Answer By Arunika Dutt on 20 Aug 21

Ans
None of the faculty can be characterized as the best and worst. Teaching as a profession is not taken up by professors who would go down the lane to be known as the worst faculty.  However, there might be some faculty members who would inspire you, who would push you to venture into new fields of skills, some might even bore you with their lectures and you might even come across some strict ones. It is all just the pressure of standing on the podium to impart knowledge to the students on a large scale. Moreover, college is to learn new skills and make use of the available facilities and experiences provided by the faculty as per one’s requirements.  Vasavi College of Engineering has some of the best faculty. They are highly educated and experienced. Ramana Murthy Sir (Mech HOD/ Principal), AV Rao Sir, Ram Mohan Rao Sir, Veladri Sir, Venkataiah Sir, Sudhakar Sir are a few names of the members of a tremendous faculty.

Ques
Which gives the best network in Vasavi Engineering college?

● Top Answer By Ashrita Pathak on 18 Aug 21

Ans
Some of my friends are from Vasavi Engineering College. According to them, there are different parameters to decide which among all the mobile networks work best. Here is a brief overview of what I have learned from them: In the CV Raman Block, which is for the Mechanical department, mobile networks like Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone work better than most others.  Networks like Airtel, Jio, and Idea seamlessly provide the best speed around these two places.  When coming down to the Mechanical and Civil labs, networks like Jio, Idea, and Airtel work the best. Airtel, however, is considered to provide the best network speed in the Ramanujan block, where the CSE and IT blocks are situated. For both the first-year students and the Civil block in the Vishveshwarya area, Airtel works best by all means. Idea and Jio can be considered second in this list. In the JC Bose block, established rather for the EEE and ECE block, Airtel and Idea do work reasonably well. These are some of the facts I got to know from my friends studying there.

Ques
How strict is Vasavi College of Engineering?

● Top Answer By Gopali Verma on 20 Aug 21

Ans
There are some ground rules in Vasavi College of Engineering, which are as follows – College ID Card: No matter who you are if you don’t have a college ID you are not allowed to enter into college. In case If you lose/ forget it, you have to write a letter. Attendance: You have to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance. If you fail to do so you have to submit a medical certificate even if it is 1% less but if the attendance is below 65% it will be denied. There will be proctors who monitor your attendance once every few months and if It's not your day, then your parent/ guardian might receive a call. Punctuality: If you are late to college by 15 minutes, your ID card will be swiped which implies you will not be given first-hour attendance even if someone gives a proxy. No open gate system: You cannot come and go as you wish. Once you enter the college, you are not allowed to leave the college without permission during working hours. Nevertheless, you are allowed to go out during lunch hour from 2nd year. If you find these rules to be strict, then you have to struggle initially to get accustomed. Once you get used to these, you will have a different perception from what you had initially.
