Campus Life:

welingkar does not have much space the building is all it has though the study materials it provides are huge and of good quality, it has a gym to work out, and also cricket club classrooms are also fine. Hostel Facilities:

The hostel facility is good but does not offer any meals. We have to cook ourselves which gets tiring in time for exams. It is well furnished flat with all the amenities. We share one room occupied by three people.

Campus Life:

The campus life isn't that great as we have lectures of 2 hours each. Our whole day at the campus just exhausts fulfilling the attendance for lectures. Plus they don't organize any fests or cultural events which should be a part of every MBA college.

Hostel Facilities:

I would like to start right away by telling that hostel does not provide food, which I honestly think is unfair. other than that welingkar has limited campus space therefore they have hostels within a 2 KM radius of the colleges. The hostel I live in has all the services except food. AC, fridge, beds, pillows, cupboards, desk and chair, cloth stand, kettle, iron and iron stand have all been provided by the college. The option to opt for a hostel comes during the form-filling process however allocation is based on availability. you also have the freedom to reject hostel facilities if you want even after you have mentioned in the form that you do want one.

Campus Life:

There has not been a fest so far. Although events corresponding with different batches are conducted now and then. All in all, life is good, there is a lot more to explore outside college than inside due to the limited space. There is a game room and a gym which facilitates fun. The library to my knowledge is well equipped with books and there is an E-library login access that is given to students, in addition to this teachers provide PDFs of whatever they teach so in that sense I would say reading resources are plenty. Classrooms have air conditioning and lighting, plus a master board and whiteboards. there is a small stage that the faculty uses along with the podium. There are not many clubs here but I have heard that if you can justify the need of having one, you can apply for the formation of a club. Sports events news is circulated by students in all the groups and interested people can join in. There is a TT table, carrom and billiards in the game room.

Hostel Facilities:

Welingkar has provided a sweet the 3 bhk flat for accommodation where in a flat we are 9 girls accommodating 3 students in each bedroom. The fee that has been charged for this accommodation is 2,00,000 per annum which includes the electricity bill and other utilities it does not include food or any mess service. Some students also prefer to choose to find their accommodation where they are living in a PG or any 3rd party hostel. The provided accommodation is fully furnished and equipped with all the facilities that are required but I think it is a little bit on the expensive side as compared to the market price.

Campus Life:

Students from the " media and entertainment" class put on a cultural event known as "KARVAAN," which day was in charge of organizing and running. We have been provided with access to a digital version of the many volumes that are housed in our institution's library. "IMPACT" is the name of a cricket competition that is hosted and organized by Welingkar. The league is quite well known and it takes place every year. "KARVAA" and other cultural celebrations take place at least once a year. Students will find that it is an excellent venue to demonstrate the ability they have acquired outside of the classroom. Each department has a management committee and a placement committee, each of which is led by a general secretary and the placement secretary of that department respectively. In addition, these students of Weschool publish and manage an online magazine called "Samvad" regularly.

Ques

What is the rank of Goa institute of mangement? Is it better than bimtech and welingkar and also PGDM BDA in GIM good choice?

● Top Answer By Sritama Ghose on 21 Sept 21

Ans
Both the colleges BIMTECH and Goa Institute of Management is decent colleges for management studies. Both the campuses are huge and offer good opportunities to students in upgrading themselves. NIRF 2021 ranked GIM 35 for PGDM/MBA.  For a PGDM BDA, GIM will be a great choice. I have a few friends from the program and they had pretty great experiences pursuing the course. The course has a perfect balance of management and data analysis. It is powered by SAS, the world leader in analytics. It offers a variety of courses and a 5-month long summer internship.  The initial batch of PGDM BDA had a 100% summer placement average, due to which the batch size was increased to 120.  If you are interested in doing a PGDM in BDA, GIM is definitely a great option.

Ques

Which one should I opt for between BIMTECH PGDM core and Welingkar Mumbai core?

● Top Answer By Ekta Singh on 23 Feb 23

Ans
When considering a post-graduate program in management, it is important to gather information about various factors that can impact your education and career opportunities. These include the brand value of the institute, the exposure and opportunities provided by the institute's location and academic record, the brands that come for placements, and the placement figures with respect to different specializations like marketing, finance, HR, etc. In this context, Welingkar Mumbai and BIMTECH Greater Noida are both strong options to consider.  Firstly, Welingkar Mumbai is a well-established and well-known brand in the market, with a long-standing history since the early 1990s. BIMTECH Greater Noida, on the other hand, has gained popularity in recent years, becoming a brand after it performed well after the global recession of 2009. Secondly, studying in the financial capital of India, Mumbai, provides students with valuable exposure and opportunities. However, this does not limit the placement performance of Welingkar with respect to marketing specializations, as it provides very good placements around 8 lakh rupees per annum CTC. Thirdly, when considering ranking, Welingkar Mumbai is among the top 30 institutes in India, whereas BIMTECH is among the top 45. Therefore, it can be concluded that BIMTECH is a good management institute for marketing placement, but Welingkar Mumbai may be a better overall option due to its established brand and reputation. However, it is important to keep in mind that these are not the only factors to consider when making a decision and it is important to conduct thorough research and evaluate all options before making a final decision.

Ques

Which is better, NMIMS Bangalore or WELINGKAR Mumbai?

● Top Answer By Rishi Sharma on 02 Mar 23

Ans
NMIMS Bangalore is indeed a good choice for management education and is widely considered one of the top B-Schools in India. As you mentioned, the fee at NMIMS is on the higher side, but the quality of education and the reputation of the college are often seen as worth the investment. The faculty at NMIMS is highly experienced and includes many co-teachers at top IIMs, which is a testament to the quality of education at the college. Placements are also a strong point at NMIMS, with an average of 9 lacs, and opportunities to earn even more for top performers in the batch. This, combined with the brand recognition and prestige of NMIMS, which has produced many successful global CEOs, makes it a highly attractive option for those seeking a management education. Welingkar is also a good college, but it may not offer the same level of faculty, brand recognition, and placements as NMIMS. However, this does not mean that Welingkar is not a good college; it just may not be as strong in all areas as NMIMS. Ultimately, the best way to determine which college is right for you is to weigh your individual career goals, preferences, and priorities against the strengths and weaknesses of each college. In conclusion, if you are looking for a top-notch management education with a strong faculty, excellent placements, and a well-respected brand, then NMIMS Bangalore may be the right choice for you. However, it is always important to carefully consider your individual needs and goals and do your own research to determine which college is the best fit for you.
