Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) is a private institute established in 2002. The institute is located in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology offers B.Tech courses in a number of specializations. The institute also offers M.Tech, MBA and MCA programs. The annual intake for UG courses is 1140 and for M.Tech, the intake is 126 students. For MBA and MCA courses, the annual intake is 120 and 60, respectively.

Applications for all the courses have to be submitted online.
Candidates should have qualified 10+2 from a recognized board for admission to B.Tech program. Applicants who have obtained B.Tech degree can apply for M.Tech courses.
A graduation degree is prerequisite for admissions to MBA and MCA courses.
Admissions to B.Tech and M.Tech are based on candidates’ rank in Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) and Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET), respectively.
For MBA and MCA, admissions will be conducted through Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted at state level.

Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology B.Tech Admission 2023

VIIT offers 4-year B.Tech degree courses in 7 specializations. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects.

The selection is based on the candidates’ rank in APEAMCET. The seat allotment is made by Convener, EAMCET as per the stipulated rules of A.P State Government. Candidates will be called for counseling APEAMCET on the basis of the ranks secured by the candidates in the rank list.

Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology M.Tech. Admission 2023

The institute offers M.Tech courses in 5 disciplines for which the annual intake by the institute is 126. Candidates should have obtained a B.Tech degree in the relevant field with at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category) from an AICTE/ UGC approved institution recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The selection is based on the candidates’ rank in PGECET. Selections are also made through a valid rank in GATE. Seat allotment is made by Convener, PGECET as per the stipulated rules of A.P State Government.

Important points:

The qualifying percentage marks for obtaining a rank in APPGECET is 25% i.e, 30 marks out of a total of 120. In the case of SC/ ST candidates, there will be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking of the candidates.
Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be for candidates from other states.
While filling the seats in the college, first preference will be given to the candidates qualified in GATE and remaining seats will be given to candidates qualified in APPGECET as per their ranks in the merit list.

Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology MBA and MCA Admission 2023

Vignan’s Institute also offers MBA and MCA courses. Candidates seeking admissions should have a graduate degree with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). For MBA admissions, they must have studied Mathematics at 10^th level. In the case of MCA program, they must have studied Mathematics at 12^th or at degree level.

The admissions are based on Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted by the State Government.

Important points:

ICET will consist of three sections: Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability and Communication Ability.
Candidates who have secured 25% qualifying marks in APICET (50 out of 200) and candidates belonging to SC/ST to whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed, shall be assigned the rank in the order of the merit on the basis of marks obtained in ICET.
In case the qualifying degree is obtained through distance mode, it should have recognition by Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/ DEB.
Candidates appearing for the final year degree examination shall also eligible to appear for APICET.

Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology Application Process 2023

Candidates need to apply through the official website of respective conducting bodies of EAMCET, PGECET and ICET.

For admissions to Management quota seats, candidates can apply through the forms available at the official website of the institute. Here are the steps to apply:

Visit the website of the institute
Navigate to the Academics tab
Click on the “Admissions” tab
Click on the Management Quota Application forms link
Take the print out of the application form and fill the mandatory details
The duly filled in form has to be sent to the college with the Demand Draft through post or can be submitted personally.
The application fee is INR 1500.
Demand Draft has to be drawn in favor of “The Principal, Vignan Institute of Information Technology” payable at Vishakhapatnam.
Photocopies of the following documents have to be attached with the form:

Is it better to choose ECE at Vignan University (Duvvada)?

Vignana University is situated in Vadlamudi, near Guntur. There is an engineering college in Duvvada, which is part of the Vignana group of institutes.

It is an autonomous college and you will get good facilities and decent opportunities while pursuing a B.Tech ECE degree. The university has good placements. In 2020, a total of 345 students got placement offers from the ECE department.
