SATI accepts BTech admission on the basis of JEE Mains score followed by DTE MP counselling. DTE MP round 1 seat allocation will be displayed on July 28. Eligible candidates can start Round 2 application filling from August 04 to August 17. DTE MP Round 2 merit list will be released on August 28.

Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI) is an Autonomous college located in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. At present, the university offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering and Technology, Computer Applications, Business Management. The mode of filling up the application form is online as well as offline.

Key Points regarding Admission:

The intake for the Bachelor’s degree program is 60 per branch for which students must qualify the State level engineering examination. With an intake of 18 students for each postgraduate course, candidates should appear as well as qualify for GATE.
For MCA program candidates with 50% marks in graduation as the eligibility criteria. If a candidate holds B.Sc. (IT, CSE)/BCA from a reputed university with an average minimum of 50% marks, he/she can seek lateral entry admission for the MCA course.
For the M.Sc. program, the Department of Higher Education Govt. of M.P. Bhopal, conducts counselling for the final selection procedure.
After evaluating the entrance examination score, the institute conducts group discussion and personal interviews as final rounds of selection for the admission procedure.

Those who have qualified GATE are eligible to for admission to full time Master’s courses for the non-sponsored category. If there are vacant seats and no candidates with valid GATE score, admission will be done directly on merit basis.

The institute offers post graduate courses in Applied Sciences of 2 years in duration.
There is provision for lateral entry admission for MCA (2 year) program. He/she will be starting the course in the second year.
For applied science courses, candidates must hold a B.Sc degree (IT, CSE)/BCA with an average minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC). These candidates should also have studied Mathematics during senior secondary school or graduation.

The MBA students must maintain a valid MET score for the admission procedure. The intake for the program is 60 seats.

The M.Sc courses in Applied Sciences require candidates to have studied the relevant subject as a compulsory subject during graduation. The intake of the program is 25 seats.

Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI) Application Process 2023

The institute publishes a merit list and thus, schedules Group Discussions and Personal Interviews for the selected candidates. The GD and PI are conducted in different phases. Candidates are informed about the GD an PI through the means of registered post and e-mail.

Some program do not conduct GD as a part of their admission process. For such program, the PI round will be the final selection round.

The candidates who are selected for GD and PI the following factors in common:

Excellent academic performance
Content matter of the application form
Professional experience, job role and organization type.
Performance in Group Discussion & Interview performance which is applicable for the final round of admission.
Participation in extra curricular activities and other achievements.
Valid score in competitive exams (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)

For applying to post graduation courses, candidates must fill in the application form online by visiting the official university website. Candidate can buy the application form and the information brochure by making a payment online of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidates.

A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.

Candidate must submit his/her recent passport size photographs along with the application form. Those students who are in their last year of graduation must submit their high school certificate along with an undertaking about submitting the grade cards and certificates for the degree course by August 31.

Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI) Scholarship

The institute provides scholarship to meritorious students belonging to reserved categories.
Their 100% tuition fee is waived off.
To Non-GATE candidates, Teaching Assistanceship or Rs. 7000/- P.M. may be provided if they perform well academically under TEQIP-II which is also subjected to availability of fund. If he/she gets the scholarship, he/she should contribute 8-10 hours per week in the respective department for academic work.

What should be the preference among UIT RGPV, SATI Vidisha and INCT?

UIT RGPV and LNCT both are better than SATI Vidisha. Following are the reasons why:

Being a government institute, there is no pressure on attendance, assignments, and projects in UIT RGPV. Many reputed companies visit for campus placements. As per the recent highlights the average CTC offered was 4 LPA. If you want to pursue higher studies or want to get into PSUs through GATE, then choose UIT RGPV.
LNCT is a private institute and it is very strict regarding attendance, assignments, etc. Many students complain that rules and regulations at LNCT are a bit like school.
Placement in LNCT is best in the Bhopal region. In the last placement drive, the highest CTC offered at LNCT was 27 LPA. More than 400 companies visited the campus in the first year of the placement drive. There were many IT companies among the recruiters. If you are interested in joining the IT sector, go for LNCT.

I have a few friends from SATI Vidisha and they advise against joining the institute.

SATI Vidisha has a faculty of 16 professors with an experience of more than 20 years. In 2019-20, 168 students were placed overall. It is an autonomous university approved by AICTE and UGC. It is set by the Governing Body and the Madhya Pradesh Government.

UIT RGPV Bhopal is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidiyalaya (RGPV). The institute has highly qualified faculty members most of them being PhD holders from institutes like IITs and NITs.

Admission Details

Students should have 50-60% in their 10+2 qualifying exams with a valid score in JEE Main for BTech admission.
Students applying for postgraduate courses should have 60% in their graduation in BTech or BE.
MTech students will be selected on the basis of GATE rank.
The final selection will be based on the entrance exam.

The institute has boys hostel including 300 seats and 320 seats in girls hostels.
They have a guest house, bank, ATM, post office, dispensary, KIOSK centre and a canteen.

According to the placement records SATI Vidisha has a low rate i.e. about 30%. It will be better to choose any other institution for the improvement of your career.
