Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped (AITH), Kanpur is an autonomous institution and it was established in 1997. The institute is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. It offers a four-year B.Tech course in various specializations at UG level along with Diploma program.

Admissions to B.Tech course are done through Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) followed by counselling.
Admissions to all Diploma Courses are done on the basis of Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (UPJEE) conducted by Joint Entrance Examination Cell, Lucknow.
There is a provision for 100% reservation for physically challenged in Diploma courses and 60% in Degree course of B.Tech.
AITH also offers B.Tech Lateral Entry programs.

AITH, Kanpur B.Tech & Diploma Admission 2023

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped (AITH), Kanpur offers B.Tech program in five specializations. The college also provides Lateral Entry admission in the second year of B.Tech.

Candidates must attempt UPSEE to secure admission in B.Tech course followed by counselling. UPSEE is conducted by APJAKTU. After the announcement of UPSEE result, the candidates who have been allotted a seat at AITH during AKTU counselling have to report to the college for completing the admission formalities. During the admission process candidates are requested to carry their allotment letter and original documents.

AITH also offers three-year diploma courses in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Architecture Assistantship and two-year diploma course in Modern Office Management & Secretarial Practices. The intake is 40 for each course.

Admissions are open to students whose parents are residents of the state of Uttar Pradesh only. Candidates are selected on the base of UP Joint Entrance Examination (UPJEE) conducted by Joint Entrance Examination Cell (JEEC), Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE), Lucknow for diploma courses.

Students looking for admissions in B.Tech and Diploma courses can apply separately for UPSEE and UPJEE by following the given steps:

UPJEE application form are available online only. The application fee is INR 300 for General and OBC candidates and INR 200 for SC/ST candidates. The payment can be made via Debit, Credit Card, Net Banking or SBI bank challan.

UPSEE application form is available online only. The application fee is INR 600 for Female, Physically Handicapped and SC/ST candidates and INR 1200 for Male and Transgender candidates belonging to General and OBC category. Remarks:

Admission process through Aktu counseling. this college is the four best colleges in Aktu. the application fee is 1000 rupees. when the college sheet is confirmed then 20000 is submitted. this is a sheet of confirmation fees. College professors are very supportive. At my college every year many students are selected in gate exam.

Without a doubt, BIET goes far beyond Dr. AITH Kanpur. The teaching staff as well as the hardworking students at any government college push and inspire us a great deal, keeping us motivated. The one thing positive about AITH Kanpur is its location, you will get nearby GATE coaching classes, which are very accessible.

Moreover, a point here to be noted is the group of students who enter BIET. It is a large dedicated and passionate group who believe only in studying and working hard, making it a very enriching and a motivating experience overall.

For the last two years students are eligible for a single room without sharing; mess food is also quite famous at BIET. There is a lot of scope to develop, nurture and improve your interpersonal and communication skills. The seniors here are super helpful and are forever looking to offer any support possible and at any time.

The population of Jhansi is far less and therefore it implies that there is lesser pollution. The faculty here is outstanding and very helpful to all the students. You may take help from any faculty member or seniors whenever you are stuck, be it in academics or cultural events, and they would be more than glad to offer you the much needed and appropriate guidance.
