Coimbatore Marine College Admissions 2024
CMC conducts its admissions completely online. The B. Tech. course and the B.Sc Nautical Science course requires the applicants to pass the IMU CET exam as a prerequisite in the admission application. Admission to other courses is based on the merits obtained by the students after satisfying the minimum eligibility. Eligibility requirements for all the courses must be met prior to the admission process. In addition to these requirements, the applicants must also fulfill the medical criteria.
How to apply?
The steps to apply for IMU CET are as follows:
- Visit the IMU college website (https://www.imu.edu.in/) and complete the registration process. Note down the application numbers on the submission of the registration form.
- For first time users, you can access the portal with application number as your ‘Login ID’ and your DOB as your ‘password’.
- Personal details and preferred choice of cities for examination must be filled out in the application form.
- The candidates will then have to upload the requested documents and pay the registration fees on the online portal to complete the registration process. Also, do not forget to take a printout of the fee receipt.
- The candidates can choose the ‘Awaiting results’ option in case their 12th or undergraduate exam results are not yet out.

- T. S. Clarissa: T.S. Clarissa is a real-time model of a ship that is built on the campus sprawling 10,000 sq. ft of area. It consists of the Main Engine Room in an operational condition and additional Machinery that provides hands-on and simulation training to the students.
- Hostel: The college has a hostel facility for the students within the campus which can accommodate 300 students in an area of 40,000 sq. ft. The hostel has spacious rooms, Gymnasium and indoor facilities, medical facilities, canteen facility, and STD/ISD booth.

Ans. Candidates must be medically fit including eyesight and hearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000, and eyesight up to (+ or -) 2.5 with no color blindness. The minimum height should be 157 centimeters.
