Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 2001 and is situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The institute is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

CIET Coimbatore offers admissions in multiple specializations under various Undergraduate (B.E/B.Tech), Postgraduate (M.E) and MBA courses. There are around 840 seats available for all UG courses and 78 seats available for PG courses.

The application process is online and candidates are requested to register online.
The minimum eligibility for B.E is 10+2 in Science stream whereas a graduate degree in B.Tech/B.E is required to be eligible for M.E.
Admissions for B.E/B.Tech courses are done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), conducted by Anna University.
Admissions for M.E courses are done through GATE score.
For admissions to the MBA course, the candidate should a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
A relaxation of 5-10% is provided to candidates of SC/ST/MBC/DNC/SCA categories.

CIET Coimbatore B.E/B.Tech Admission 2023

The institute offers B.E/B.Tech programs in 7 specializations. Candidates should hold a valid 10+2 certificate with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to be eligible for admission. A relaxation of 5% is provided to candidates belonging to OBC category and a relaxation of 10% to candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

Selection is based on TNEA counselling. It is a counselling process that is conducted by the Anna University. It offers admissions to candidates wishing to pursue Engineering degree in the state of Tamil Nadu. The counselling process shortlists candidates on the basis of their marks obtained in 10+2.

Key points:

Candidates who are not natives of Tamil Nadu and have not completed their 10+2 education in Tamil Nadu are required to provide a nativity certificate at the time of admission.
Candidates belonging to other states are required to provide a nativity certificate at the time of admission
The candidates are required to register online and application forms will be provided by Anna University in the first week of May

CIET Coimbatore M.E Admission 2023

The institute offers M.E in 6 specializations. They should hold a graduate degree with an aggregate of 55 % or equivalent in relevant stream from any recognized university.

Candidates with a valid GATE score can directly apply and are eligible for M.Tech. programs. Selection is done on the basis of a valid score in GATE only.

CIET Coimbatore MBA Admission 2023

CIET Coimbatore offers an MBA program at the PG level. Candidates should hold a valid Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university with an aggregate of 50 % or equivalent CGPA from any of the universities recognized by the Government of India to be eligible for admission.

Admission is based on the marks obtained in graduation.

CIET Coimbatore Application Process 2023

All applicants have to register online. The mode of payment is also online. Candidates are requested to bring the essential documents along with the application form in case of B.E admissions at the time of counselling. For M.E candidates, admissions depend on the GATE score of the students.

Honest review for the best college

Remarks:

The admission process is very simple, this college comes under Anna University so those who get above the 140 cutoffs in their 12th board exam can easily get into this college. We can find the application form by directly visiting the college or through Anna University's counseling process. My reservation is OBC so they provide 70 vacancies on the same. The overall process is good.
