BSMC Review

What I Liked

The heritage of our college.. It was the first swadeshi medical school established in 1922
The high patient load from that we can learn a lot
Academic results in various pg exams are very good from our college

What I didn’t like

The weather is extreme whether it's winter or summer
as our college is very old the non clinical lab equipments are old too

Course Curriculum Overview:

From this profession we can save others lives I have not that audacity to suggest something for this course The exam frequency is very high there will me multiple internal exams but at the end of the year there is a professional exam

Remarks:

You should have 75% on your 12th standard You have to give neet exam for this course The neet 2025 examination form will be available on nov-dec most probably You have to be prepared for this exam One of the toughest exams of India

BSMC a little view

What I Liked

Good environment. natural beauty gardens in student section
Good faculty approx all departments some super speciality departments
Practical learning good supportive faculty

What I didn’t like

Instruments are very old need to advance
Buildings very old need to renovation need some more rooms and ac
All lecture theaters don't have ac they need ac

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical profession is a dream for every middle class student. This only reason brings me here . Further the work in the medical field is great work , its serving the society .The more advanced technical things should be included with leaving some non needed old concepts it will help to decrease the work load Exams are very frequent we need to pass those exams .

Remarks:

Eligibility HS passed with 45% in PCB age 17 years+ Entrance exam NEET UG After that counselling through MCC &WBMCC Cut off details approx UR 20k rank EWS 50K RANK OBC 28K RANK SC 110K RANK ST 400K RANK Improvements more transperacy in neet exam

One of my friends graduated from Midnapore Medical College (MMC). According to him, if you are a dedicated and hard-working student and can manage your studies by yourself, then MMC is a good option.

The faculty members are highly experienced but will only provide you with the required guidance. It will be beneficial if you study and prepare by yourself.

Internships will make your schedule hectic. You definitely gather a good amount of experience during the internship, so no matter how hectic it makes your day-to-day life, try completing it.

Overall Midnapore Medical College is worthy. Many students from popular colleges like JIPMER and AIIMS are known to study here.
