The hostel rooms at PGIMS Rohtak is decent. First-year students are allocated single rooms. From the second year onwards choose between a single room, shared cubicle, or dormitory. The hostel rooms have enough space for a single person. There are balconies attached to the rooms. Washrooms are wall-maintained and cleaned on a daily basis. Food offered in the mess is above average.
The environment on campus a peaceful and ideal for academics.
According to my friends studying at PGIMS Rohtak, they have a certain dress code. The uniform for boys includes:
For girls, it is as follows:
Boys should keep a clean-shaven face and short hair. Girls must tie their hair properly.
One of my friends studied at PGIMS Rohtak. According to him, there are a lot of perks of being a student here.
They also have contributions to rural health services and slums, they have organizations like NMO (for rural areas) which includes different programs, and MSC (mostly for slum areas). They work on a regular basis for the maintenance of health in these areas. These will also be beneficial for your career.
Yes it is possible. There are a lot of mediocre students who evolve with time and end up cracking IIT or AIIMS.
Since MD radiology at AIIMS, New Delhi is your target, you will require a rank in top 3-5 to secure a place in MD radiology. It might be the toughest exam but it is not impossible. Try dedicating more time preparing for this, which might give you positive results.
PGIMS Rohtak is better than NDMC Delhi Hindu Rao Hospital. It is one of the most reputed colleges in North India.
There are many great and highly experienced faculties, many of which are best-selling authors of medical textbooks. Being an older institution, it has more exposure and reach.
NDMC, on the other hand, is associated with Hindurao Hospital, which is well known in Delhi but is not much good when the medical faculty and the standard of medical training are concerned.
MCI has canceled the Recognition of NDMC a few times; it resulted in not taking further MBBS batches. Graduating from such a Medical college could be a risk.
According to some of my friends studying at AIIMS Rishikesh, it is better than PGIMS Rohtak in many factors.
The only thing a bit concerning about AIIMS is that you will lose your state quota after studying at AIIMS.
One of my friends studied at PGIMS Rohtak. According to him, the college is also enthusiastic about sports like academics.
The college provides:
A number of sports activities are held like Basketball, volleyball, throwball, women cricket, tennis, badminton, athletics, etc. All departments MBBS, Dental, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing participate. This lasts for 3-5 days.
Both facilities and opportunities are provided to the students in extracurriculars.
