AIIMS Rishikesh is the choice of many students over PGIMS Rohtak. Here are some facts about AIIMS Rishikesh that might help with your decision-making:

  1. The number of Seats in PG, hostel facilities, and other facilities at AIIMS Rishikesh have all become even better than before
  2. AIIMS Rishikesh has one of the best blood banks in India with machines available only in certain medical facilities
  3. The Radiology department has MRI of 3 Tesla and CT scan of 256 slice, which is available in only certain medical facilities
  4. The institute is run by the central government
  5. The faculty at AIIMS Rishikesh is top-class
  6. MBBS students are offered ample opportunities for growth and learning
  7. STS projects, Intra mural projects, and other activities are supported extensively
  8. AIIMS Rishikesh is at the 48th Rank in NIRF India Rankings 2022: Medical

These are some advantages of joining AIIMS Rishikesh. But you should always check your situation and personal preferences while making the final decision. You should also check PGIMS, Rohtak course details, placements, fee structure, etc.

Overall, a fairly large number of students tend to prefer AIIMS Rishikesh over PGIMS Rohtak. This may also result from the tag that AIIMS institutions bring along. AIIMS Rishikesh is looked after by the central government, which is another advantage over PGIMS Rohtak, which is a state medical college.

Diya Lalwani,

According to some of my friends studying at AIIMS Rishikesh, it is better than PGIMS Rohtak in many factors.

  • AIIMS Rishikesh has a better infrastructure than PGIMS Rohtak. It enjoys a brand tag.
  • Academics are top-notch in both institutes. At AIIMS you will get proper lab facilities and a healthy student-teacher ratio.
  • AIIMS Rishikesh has 100% MCQ exams which again puts you at an advantage in PG preparation.
  • It has better hostels and you get single-seater rooms from the 2nd year itself.
  • The fees of Haryana government colleges have been increased (from INR 53,000 per year to INR 80,000 per year)

The only thing a bit concerning about AIIMS is that you will lose your state quota after studying at AIIMS.
