Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology (MIT), Muzaffarpur is a premier institution of eastern India for technical education. It is under administrative control of department of science and technology and wholly funded by Govt. of Bihar. Established in 1954, MIT is one of the oldest technical institute in India. The foundation stone was laid by the first prime minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

The college is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna. The college offers B.Tech at undergraduate level to the aspiring candidates who want to take up Engineering as their career.

Admission in B.Tech is done on the basis of marks obtained in Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.

MIT Muzaffarpur offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) to the candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. The courses offered are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication and Information Technology. All the specializations are for a duration period of four years.

First and foremost thing for the candidates is to pass in 10+2 level or equivalent in relevant discipline. Admission in MIT for four years B.Tech. course is made through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (B.C.E.C.E.) conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. The candidates desirous of Admission in MIT are advised to appear in Screening & Main Examination of B.C.E.C.E.

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) is constituted under Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act, 1995 . It conducts competitive examinations every year for admissions in various professional courses of Medical, Engineering and Agricultural streams in the Institutions of the state of Bihar.

Remarks:

There are three ways for admission 1. Through jee mains 2. Through Bcece exams for engineering 3. Through the Bcece Lateral entry exam After the declaration of the jee mains result you need to go to the bcece official site where you will find the site for form filling. If you are from general you will get MIT only if your percentile is above 90 For OBC above 85. For SC/ST above 60, There are 2 rounds of counseling held. If you missed this you have to give an exam for bcece. and you will get the college on that basis.

Which is the best, NIT Srinagar for chemical or mechanical engineering from Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology (Bihar)?

Having friends who studied Chemical Engineering from NIT Srinagar, I can assure that it is really good.

Various PSUs visited the chemical department and offered great packages. All of those who were recruited are currently doing very well in life as they have stable jobs.
Out of these candidates, there were certain ones who chose to go for further studies. And as far as I remember, one of my batchmates scored really well in the GATE exam.
Some of my batchmates decided to go for an MBA from the National University of Singapore - which is a very prestigious institute.

National Institute of Technology, Mizoram (NITM) is an autonomous college affiliated to the All Indian Council for Technical Education. The college ranks 90th for engineering in India by JEE Cut-off 2019. It offers B.Tech in Civil Engineering as a full-time four-year course at a fee of 5.43 Lakhs for the full period.

National Institute of Technology, Srinagar (NITS) is approved by AICTE and recognized by UGC. The college offers B.Tech in Civil Engineering as a full-time four-year course at a fee of 5.30 Lakhs for the full period. The college is ranked 39th and 82nd for engineering by India Today and JEE Cut-off respectively.
