Amity School of Communication offers three-year full-time B.A. course in various fields of study. Students may extend their study in B.A. in Film and Television Production, Journalism and Mass Communication, Mass Communication – International.

The minimum eligibility to apply for the B.A. program is pass 10+2 degree in any specialization. Final selection of the candidate is based on the English Language test which is followed by interview by the college authorities. Candidates seeking admission will have to apply through online application process.

Key points:

• B.A. in mass communication is offered with an exit option to have advanced entry in the Final year of B.A. (Hons) - Multimedia Journalism at the University of Northampton, UK*.
• The students who are eligible for the scholarships (for programs after 10+2 only) are given admission on Fast Track. That means they do not have to appear for the admission selection process and their admission is done based on their application form.
• Direct Admission is not applicable for Post Graduate programs.
• Scholarship will be offered after joining the program on verification of original documents.
• Direct Admission / Fast Track Admission-cum-Scholarship is not applicable for the programs of Architecture/ Design / Education / Fine Arts / Law and Physical Education programs.
• Limited Scholarship seats are available, which will be offered after joining the program.

Amity School of Communication offers two-years M.A. program with four various specializations viz Advertising and Marketing Management, Film and Television Production, PR and Event Management, and Journalism and Mass Communication.

Those who are seeking to apply for the program will have to qualify as per the guidelines to be eligible to sit in selection process of the admission. The minimum eligibility to apply for M.A. is having graduation degree. The selection will be based on English Language Test followed by Group Discussion and Interview.

Key points:

• Selected candidates can give request for the change of program after selection.
• The request should be made to the admission office through Post / Track your Query section on the Admission Microsite before the last date of payment of the fee as notified in the Admission Letter.
• Minimum eligibility criteria for the requested program needs to be met.
• Request will be considered and approved subject to be consent of the admission committee.
• A processing fee of INR 1,100 will have to be paid with the fees if transfer request is approved.

MBA program is available for aspiring students in two basic specializations namely Media Management and PR and Event Management.

Candidates applying for the programs must fulfill the guidelines to be eligible for selection process of the admissions. The minimum eligibility to apply for MBA is to clear the graduation with at least 50% marks. Along with that, applicant will have to clear national level CAT entrance test or equivalent. Selection to MBA will be based on entrance test followed by language test and group discussion and interview.

Eligibility for MBA:

• Candidates qualifying CAT/ XAT with Percentile: 75 or having MAT Score: 500 or GMAT Score: 500 or NMAT Percentile: 60 are eligible to go through the selection process.
• Applicants not appeared in any national level entrance may sit for the college level test on the day of interview of selection process.

Amity School of Communication also offers research facility for the ones who wish to pursue Ph.D. in mass communication. Ph.D. is offered in both forms—Full-time and Part-time.

The basic eligibility to apply for Ph.D. is having passed Master’s or M.Phil. examination to be eligible for the same. The final selection is based on merit in qualifying exam followed by language test and interview conducted by the college authorities.

Key points:

• The Entrance Test shall be of one and half hour duration (i.e. 90 minutes) and of 70 marks consisting of 95 objective type of questions. The Entrance Test will have two Sections (administered in one go.
• Candidates who have cleared an All India Examination or NET of UGC / CSIR / ICAR (ASRB) / GPAT / ICMR / GATE in the last 2 years shall be exempted from the written part of the selection process. However, they will be required to appear for the Personal Interview.
• Ph.D. Mass Communication full-time programs is of maximum 3 years while part-time is extended to 4.5 years.
• Ph.D. Programs at Amity University are offered in more than 60 disciplines/ research areas on Full time and Part time basis in January/ July session.
• Applications for admission to a Ph.D. program at Amity University are accepted twice a year, for January and July sessions. A Ph.D. program is offered both on Full Time and Part Time basis.
• A ‘Full-time Candidate’ shall mean a candidate devoting full time for completing the requirements of the program and a ‘Part-time Candidate’ shall mean a candidate who is devoting only a part of his time towards the pursuit of the program while discharging his official / employment obligations.
• The admission Form is to be filled and submitted ONLINE ONLY along with required documents uploaded in the given format and an online payment of INR 1,100 made via a Credit / Debit card.
