Life at The Bhawanipur Education Society College

What I Liked

I really like the culture of this college. It is full of enthusiasm and the college is never boring.
They invite celebrities like Vicky kaushal, Varun dhawan, kriti sanon for their movie promotions
They also provide internships for gaining some experience

What I didn’t like

The authorities are a bit rude and their behaviour is not valid
The college has some very odd timings for their exams
Things happen on a very short notice here. It would've been really nice if they could inform about things beforehand.

Campus Life:

The overall experience I would say is amazing. We get to interact with several famous personnels , celebrities that come here to promote their movies, songs, works. They also have fests where you can showcase your own talent as well.

What I Liked

Campus of bhawanipur college is top notch
Teachers are highly qualified and well trained
Management is student friendly and always problems of students

What I didn’t like

Lack of proper sports facilities in the college

An annual fest take place in this college known as Umang which is considered one of the best fest in Kolkata. Books are easily accessible through college library. Faculty of this college is top notch and high-tech, and annual sports Events also takes place

The Bhawanipur review

What I Liked

College has a big canteen and it's well cleaned and it's very nice and decent prices are there.
We have a playground for sports we can play anything like basketball volleyball
We have a sports arena that's a common room for students who play sports..

What I didn’t like

The campus was so small and i don't know why because it's well reputed but the campus is small
Here , we don't have opportunity for anything like sports that we play for nationals
And also we don't have the opportunity for placements.

Campus Life:

My overall experience is well good because I'm a second year student and it's good experience but it should be some improvement for faculty staffs and members for betterment for college and there are many clubs on our college that influence students to choose anything.

About BESC

What I Liked

Infrastructure of our college is well developed and maintained.
One can boost their personal as well as professional courses.
Faculties of the college are very supportive and encouraging.

What I didn’t like

Assignment which are unproductive. Most of it has to be copied from sites
Some of the boring lectures make it difficult to understand the subjects
Shortage and irregularities in the classes

Campus Life:

Our college has the most attractive and productive collection of books in the library. Campus Life is full of joy and it helps in self growth and development. One's communication skills gets improved. Technological support and guidance are also provided by the college. Many of the class free of cost are conducted by the college such as Tally Prime, MS Office Class, Google Workspace Class and many more.

What I Liked

Modern infrastructure and facilities the college has a state of the art campu. s equipped with smart classrooms a big library sports arena in multiple auditoriums
B e s c has a vibrant campus life and host events and programs throughout the year these include cultural festivals workshop seminar sport competition guest lectures which provides students with ample opportunity for personal and professional growth
Besc does not have a strict attendance policy which helps students were pursuing professional courses such as CA CM A2 focus more on their coaching rather than college

What I didn’t like

Students in this college don't take the academics very seriously as they are not streak with attendance of they think it is ok to not attend college and that's it

Campus Life:

The overall campus life of this college is one of the best in Kolkata . It host Umang which is the annual fest of the college and the biggest inter College fest in East India with over 50 colleges participating over 30 different events the facilities funds everything is provided by the college and there number of social groups and clubs also run by the college so every student antique part in something in which they are good there is a sports arena and a ter in which the students can played different types of sports. It has a state of the heart library with a variety of books and generals to choose from.

A nice stop for your graduation.

What I Liked

It has the best library. The quality of books and the amount of support that you get from the faculty and office staff is immense! You end up working so closely with department heads and the dean of the college overseas various things himself.
The faculty is too homely! You'll feel included and pampered by all seniors, they will guide you in the events, in the exams , almost about everything, you will love the ambiance of the college.
The number of events that take place in a year is huge. Inter college fests, Umang, music fests, calling bollywood actors and actresses, people running podcasts, marketing teams, the amount of exposure is immense.

What I didn’t like

It could be the lack of space or at times the focus on events is too much, your classes get cancelled.

Campus Life:

I would personally say my experience of the college has not been much because I am an off station student and one of the major reasons for taking admission there was a fact that the attendance was not compulsory and hance it gives me time to study more in my professional journey however there are loads of sports events and extra curricular activities offered. There is a huge library . There is a sports arena etc.

Both Bhawanipur Education Society and Shri Shikshayatan are reputed colleges in Kolkata. They admit their students on a merit basis. Their cut off is usually high but if you have average scores you will get a chance in their 2nd or 3rd lists.

Shri Shikshayatan is an all girls college and requires a better academic record. Both colleges are more or less the same. They differ in infrastructure, faculty and overall fees. Shri Shikshayatan has better infrastructure than Bhawanipur with better well maintained buildings, auditorium, gym and swimming pool.

Bhawanipur encourages students to join their college clubs and committees, they believe in the holistic development of the students along with academics. The college hosts, organizes and takes part in several inter-college festivals, cultural activities, competitions, etc. which take place all year long. If you prefer being around such activities then Bhawanipur is the right place for you.

The choice entirely depends on the individual and where his or her interests lie. Both are reputed institutions, so you will enjoy the perks these brands offer, you just have to choose what interests you more. A culturally active college or a college mostly inclined towards academics.

It depends entirely upon the students which college will be a better choice for them. As locations, fees, popularities, etc. are the various factors that students tend to prioritize while deciding which college will be preferable for them. All three colleges are popular in Kolkata.

Amity University Kolkata was established in 2015. The eligibility criteria for admission in B.Com. is 10+2 result and students are also required to go through an English test followed by a personal interview. The course fee for B.Com is 76,000. Studying at Amity University will cost you more than the other two colleges.

Scottish Church College is one of the oldest colleges in Kolkata and is well-known for its good faculty. The selection for the B.Com program is done based on the result of 10+2 and the course fee is 51,986/- per year.

Bhawanipur Education Society Kolkata has a great environment for academics. The college has a good infrastructure. Admission to B.Com takes place based on the 10+2 results of the students and the course fee is 49,000/- per year. It is popular among students because there is no demand for regular attendance, which helps students who are studying and also preparing for professional courses like CA and CS.

Some of my friends studied at Bhawanipur college (BESC). According to them it is nothing but just hyped by everyone.

If you are getting a chance at Umesh Chandra college opt for it. This will also save you an amount of 1.5 lakhs.
Moreover, internal marks for BESC students are marked in a single-digit, which is discouraging
Comparatively the government colleges are better as they mark double-digit marks.
The internal exams are only conducted for the sake to follow the guidelines of CU.
