Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC) is India’s leading private coeducational and multi-institutional university located in Pune, Maharashtra. It has been lately awarded with ‘College with potential for Excellence (CPE)’ in 2016 by the UGC.

The major courses offered by the Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce are Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Commerce, and Master of Commerce in various specializations.

Apart from degree courses, the college offers diploma and certificate programs as well in wide disciplines for students to choose from.
The diploma and certifications can be done along with graduation and the basic eligibility is that a student must have passed his/her 10+2 examinations.

Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce offers various disciplines in B.A. and B. Com for students who have applied for under graduation. Students can specialize in economics, English or psychology in Bachelor of Arts.

SCAC Pune M.A. and M.Com. Admission 2023

Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce offers post-graduation programs such as M.A. and M.Com. in various specializations. M.A. could be done in economics and English.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA to apply for PG in this college. However, students who belong to SC/ST/DA/PWD get relaxation of 5% on the qualifying marks, that is, they can apply if they have managed to score 45% in their graduation.

Selection shall be based on merit and availability of seats which will be declared by the concerned officials of the college.

Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce Application Process 2023

Candidates can apply for admissions in under graduation and post-graduation via online mode from the official website of Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce. The application process in this college starts once 10+2 results of H.S.C. Maharashtra Board examinations are declared. The elaborated process to apply in this college is mentioned below:-

Candidates need to register themselves by filling the pre-merit application form which is available via online mode, on the official website of Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce.
Pay the application form fees as mentioned in the form in HDFC bank as without payment the form will not get accepted.
The filled pre-merit form, then, needs to be send to the college office or in person along with duly paid challan.
They will have to check the schedule for the merit list on the official website of the college.
Once they get selected, they need to personally visit the college campus in the given time span for admissions.

Following original documents need to be submitted at the time of admissions with two attested copies for verification by concerned college officials:

After the documents are verified, students have to fill the online admission form and pay the annual fees within the following two days. If not paid, admissions might get cancelled.

They will then have to report to the college venue immediately and submit the admission form, duly paid fee challan and related documents.

Remarks:

The college's campus is good and also the canteen is modified so that students love to sit there and enjoy eating and doing work. The faculties are good and helpful. love to enjoy going to college but do not like to study as the college campus is so good so love to enjoy myself there instate of attending the classes as a lecturer is not good so better to sit on the campus and enjoy reading books there and also love the late submission of the assignments.

In my opinion, Symbiosis is better. As a lot of my friends studied at Symbiosis, I might be able to provide you with some information about the college. The course material is extensive and the staff is quite friendly. On the other hand, Fergusson is just mismanaged. The course material at Symbiosis is such that it also covers small parts of the Master’s course material. The faculty encourages you to refer to study materials outside of the course outline which is very healthy. Also, the Honours programs have a good reputation and the symbiosis brand itself is well-recognized. They will add value to your resume and also build a good foundation if you wish to do a Master’s Degree. As Symbiosis is a private institute, the fees will considerably be higher than Fergusson. But it is good to invest in a college which will give you a proper and industry-oriented education. So Symbiosis won't be a bad choice.
