Swami Sharaddhananad College admissions 2023 to UG and PG programs will be done through Common University Entrance Test(CUET) which is conducted by NTA. Those who wish to apply for UG courses must appear for the CUET UG exam and candidates seeking admissions in PG courses must enroll themselves for the CUET PG exam.

Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) has been discarded from the academic year 2023 for PG admissions.

After passing the CUET UG exam, candidates seeking UG admissions must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). When the CUET results are released, registration for all UG and PG programs will begin on Delhi University's admission portal -admission.uod.ac.in. Candidates will next be required to select their program and college preferences. PG admissions will be based on the institute's combination of merit and entrance-based admissions.

For postgraduate admission, half of the seats will be allotted to students with a bachelor's degree from Delhi University based on merit in the qualifying examination. The remaining half will be filled based on the candidate's rank in the CUET PG examination.

Swami Shraddhanand College also has 50% of its total seats reserved for students in the SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD category.

Remarks:

First of all, this college is affiliated with Delhi university and did not have an entrance exam for admission. Instead, admissions were based on the 12th board percentage(merit-based). 2019's cut-off for this college was 89% in the top four subjects. The application process was simple, I only had to complete the application form on Delhi university's website. Once the cut-off lists were released, I had to choose a college based on my percentage and the course I want to enroll in. There were seats for reserved category people as well.

Remarks:

The admission process was totally dependent on the cut-off prior but not now. I applied at the second cut-off in this college and then waited for further cut-offs but I didn't meet the eligible cutoff as required by colleges of North campus. I am pursuing Bcom. The eligibility criteria are that the student must be 10+2 and score at least 90 in 10+2. The student can apply for admission online through the DU portal http://www.du.ac.in/ You have to pay application fees of approx. Rs 250 to get registered on du website. As I belong to the General category I do not have any idea about reservations. The University can improve the admission process by adopting both ways i.e offline and online.

The application form can be found at the official website of Delhi University, i.e. www.du.ac.in. The application form is around 800-1200 depending on your reservation category. There are reservations for each caste and class of people. With scholarships being offered for BPL students. The admission process is totally fine.

The admission is done by entrance and merit basis results. the eligibility for the course is accounting bst and economics as a must. If you have an average of 85% you get admission to any course the cut-off is very flexible and you can admission easily by online registration first and then later with a physics document verification we never repeat that mission process is very easy and need your Xerox of documents such as migration certificate, registration form, photographs, identity proof and fee, receipt, reservation or dare for sports quota SC, ST, EWS categories. If you want to get into commerce course.

Swami Shraddhanand College: 11 answered questions

Ques
Which one is better between Swami Shraddhanand College and Ramanujan College at DU?

● Top Answer By Ashwin Garg on 11 Oct 21

Ans
Both Swami Shraddhanand College and Ramanujan College are remarkable colleges at Delhi University. They are an exception in certain departments. The eminence of your choice of course thus depends on it. If you are willing to opt for the science or humanities courses, then Swami Shraddhanand College would be the best as it is renowned for these courses.  On the other hand, if the infrastructure of the institute interests you then Ramanujan College would be better to opt for. Its infrastructure is terrific. For commerce, it is suggested that you do not opt for Swami Shraddhanand College.  In terms of extracurricular activities, fests, sports, it is certainly the best.  Ramanujan College is yet to be known for providing such facilities. Moreover, the campus at Swami Shraddhanand is whopping. The faculty in these colleges are similar with highly educated and experienced professors holding Ph.D. degrees.  Attendance percentage is not given much significance at Swami Shraddhanand College.  However, it is considered a huge issue at Ramanujan college.  Students are met with serious repercussions. They go as far as not issuing admit cards for semester examinations. If you are a student who loves to explore places then you may visit the picnic spots and shopping complexes near Ramanujan college.  In conclusion, both of these colleges offer similar facilities and academic structures. Given that you are a hard-working student, whichever college you opt for would help you in building a career.

Ques
Should I take admission in Swami Shraddhanand College if I am an outside Delhi student?

● Top Answer By Krutika Saini on 04 Oct 21

Ans
Yes, you can get admitted to Swami Shraddhanand College. My friend has opted for BA (Hons) History in the previous year. He had his choices between Swami Shraddhanand College Aryabhatta college and Satyawati college and after asking reviews and opinions from the seniors and other alumni of the college he decided to get admitted here. The infrastructure is good and well maintained with a lush green garden surrounding the campus completely. The faculty and seniors are helpful and have good knowledge. Categories Swami Shraddhanand College Course Fee 36,225 Highest CTC 12-13 LPA Average CTC 3.5 - 4 LPA So it is recommended you join Swami Shraddhanand College even if you are from outside Delhi, it won't be disappointing.

Ques
Which college is better, Deshbandhu College or Swami Shraddhanand College for a B. Sc in physics?

● Top Answer By Manisha Gupta on 04 Oct 21

Ans
If you consider the physics branch, Deshbandhu college is a better choice. Here are some reasons to consider it over Swami Shraddhanand College for a B.Sc in physics: Their physics department is really good with a highly experienced faculty. They have good laboratories and over 20 lab assistants in the physics department. The library consists of a really good collection of Physics books as well as other reading and research materials. Their students' performance is very good in exams like JAM or JEST. They have a Physics Society and many activities are organized by this society of Deshbandhu college. It is said to be really good. If you are thinking of college placements and it is your concern then forget to get placed from any of these colleges.  The only way is to prepare for IIT JAM, JEST, etc. exams for further studies in physics. The connectivity of transportation of Deshbandhu college is better than the Swami Shraddhanand college because it is far away outside Delhi that is the college is located on karnal GT road. Therefore, choose the one that meets your requirements.

Ques
What is Swami Shraddhanand College like?

● Top Answer By Mandeep Kaur on 16 Sept 22

Ans
Swami Shraddhanand College is decent and has a good faculty base. Very few companies take part in campus placement. The salary packages offered are around INR 3-4 LPA.  The college infrastructure isn’t too good. Swami Shraddhanand has two buildings. The Arts and Commerce building is old and doesn’t have good infrastructure. The Science Building has a better infrastructure in comparison.

Ques
Which one is better for a BSc in microbiology Ram Lal Anand College or Swami Shraddhanand College?

● Top Answer By Veena Dutta on 04 Oct 21

Ans
The better choice would definitely be Ram Lal Anand College after what I have learned from my friends studying there. The campus might not be as extravagant as other colleges, but if you want to study microbes, Ram Lal Anand College is the best choice. The reasons to choose this college over Swami Shraddhanand College are as follows: The best microbiology course offered by Delhi University. It is a really underrated college. Thus you may not hear about it in discussions. The students from this college have got their research papers printed in international papers. The faculty is highly experienced at the University of Delhi in Microbiology and they guide you at every single step of your course. Categories B.Sc. Microbiology at Ram Lal Anand College Swami Shraddhanand College Course Fee 36,465 36,225 Placement Percentage 60-75% - Highest CTC 16 LPA 12 LPA Average CTC 5 LPA 3.5 LPA So I would say Ram Lal Anand College over Swami Shraddhanand College any day. But ultimately it is your choice, make an informed decision and choose the one that satisfies your requirements.
