Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), is an autonomous institution affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and which comes under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. This institute promotes Planning, Training, Promotion, and Coordination of Yoga Education, Training, Therapy, and Research in all its aspects.

MDNIY Courses
This institute offers B.Sc, Diploma, Foundation, and Certification courses. MDNIY Admissions
Since this institute is affiliated to GGSIPU, the students must register and apply for the required courses through its official website only.
How to Apply?
- Before applying, the students are advised to go through the eligibility and instructions on the official website.
- A registration and counseling fee of INR 1000/- must be paid through challan, Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
- The students can then register themselves with all the necessary details, a login ID and password will be generated which will be used for login purposes.
- After registration, the student has to fill choices for allotment based on the order of his/her preference.
- After the allotment of seats, based on merit score and preference, the students can either freeze or slide the allotted college based on their interest.
- In order to freeze, the students must take a print out of the Provisional Allotment Letter and will have to pay the part Academic Fee of INR 40,000/- through Challan, Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
- After the payment of fees, the students can report to the institute with Admission Slip, the Provisional Allotment Letter, the Academic Fee Receipt, and the necessary record for verification of documents at the and pay the balance amount of fees (if any), as per the schedule notified on the website, failing which the admission shall be automatically canceled.
- If any seats are left after the above-mentioned process, the students will be summoned for spot counseling.

MDNIY Scholarships
A scholarship of INR 3,000/- per month will be awarded to thirteen Indian meritorious students based on their performance in the 1st-semester examination of the course. The number is divided as follows:
- General Merit - 7
- OBC - 3
- SC - 2
- ST- 1
A fellowship of INR 8,000/- per month will be awarded to 2 students from Andaman & Nicobar Islands and 2 students from the North-East States.
MDNIY Facilities
This institute offers facilities that make the learning process more easier and fun.
- Amphitheater: It has a seating capacity of around 500. It is being used for National Yoga Week, Yoga demonstrations, and other socio-cultural activities.
- Academic Block: It has the aesthetically designed, ultra-modern, well-furnished, and fully illuminated classrooms with the latest digital acoustics where theory and practical classes of different educational courses and training are conducted.
- Kriya Block: Regular Yoga practical classes of Shatkarma (cleansing) practices are conducted here.
- Canteen facility: This is available at the Institute premises wherein natural healthy food items are being served at nominal rates.
- Library: The Institute has a centrally air-conditioned library, having more than 13,000 volumes on Yoga and allied subjects.
- Learning Resource Centre (LRC): It is a literature predominance resource that is useful for academic and research purposes.
- Computer Laboratory: Computers with internet facilities are available for students free of cost.
