Indian Statistical Institute is a government institute that trains students in statistics and related sciences. ISI has its headquarters in Kolkata with 4 more centres operating in Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Tezpur. ISI was announced as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India in 1959. The institute is accredited to the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI) and is recognized by AICTE. It offers full-time UG, PG and Short-term courses including B.Stat, B.Math, M.Stat and MS among others. Additionally, the institute also offers various research fellowships and certification programmes.

ISI Kolkata Admissions
Admission to the institute is solely done based on marks obtained in the entrance exam and the interview process. For UG courses the candidate must have a valid score in 10+2 examinations. The candidate must have a relevant degree if they wish to apply for PG courses. If the candidate has a valid GATE score then they are exempted from giving the entrance exam. Admission for PhD courses is also done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examinations.

ISI Kolkata Results
ISI conducts an entrance exam for admission to its various courses each year. The selection is based upon the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. The results are usually declared around May.
