• The Reporting/Editing: Magazine concentration is for students who want to become writers, editors or magazine publishers. Courses such as magazine publishing, feature writing, specialized reporting and design for cybermedia will enable students to be competitive in the burgeoning magazine field.
  • Graduation Requirements:

    • Students must successfully complete a minimum of 36 semester hours of graduate credit. All students complete a common core of conceptual courses in addition to required professional courses for each concentration. Approved electives include theoretical, conceptual and professional courses in journalism and mass communication. Electives from other academic units of the university may be approved through consultation with the student’s academic adviser. Students choose among master’s professional project or thesis option in meeting their capstone requirement.
