Earlier many questions were raised about the authenticity of the Duolingo English Test because of its remote nature. The test did face limitations in the beginning, but many changes have been made. The video interview examines the candidate’s authenticity and is also tested by human proctors. There are methods that track candidates’ eye movements to detect if they are using any unethical way to pass the exam. Duolingo English Test, therefore, has implemented many methods to keep students away from cheating.
