Students wishing to be certified to teach art at all grade levels should complete the visual art P-12 teaching major. This major culminates in the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
This major should be completed with the P-12 education licensure minor. Additional admission requirements through the Teacher Education Department may apply. Students preparing for careers in teaching secondary school in the liberal arts should review the College of Liberal Arts' teacher licensing policy.
