USI offers rolling admissions which means there is no application deadline. International applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible and well in advance for the semester in which they are planning to attend. Visa Process for International Students

International Applicants can apply for a student’s visa to study in the United States right after an application is issued. Students whose application has been approved will be issued the I-20 form and need to pay a mandatory SEVIS I-901 fee of USD 350, this is separate from the application or the administration fee. Then applicants can schedule an interview with the US Embassy for the Visa process.

University of Southern Indiana​ Graduate Admission 

University of Southern Indiana offers 13 master's degree programs and two doctoral programs. Students seeking admission in a graduate program must have a general GPA of 2.5 to secure admission. Internation applicants can apply through university’s application portal with an application fee of USD 40.

Upon acceptance to USI, you will receive detailed information about orientation, registration, and housing. Ques. Are any changes being made to Fall 2023 admission requirements? 

Ans. Yes, the University of Southern Indiana Board of Trustees has approved a proposal to eliminate the requirement for undergraduate applicants to submit standardized test scores, beginning with the 2023-24 academic year. In this, the students applying for admission to USI would not need to submit Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Testing (ACT) scores as part of the application process. Certain programs, merit-based, and USI Foundation scholarships, may still require SAT or ACT scores, and some students may still be requested to submit scores after review of their application.
