Muhlenberg College is a private institution established in 1848 by Frederick A. Mulenber. The college is of the American Lutheran Church. In 2023 Muhlenberg College has been recognized by the Carnegie Foundation for having a diverse and inclusive community. Muhlenberg College is also accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the accreditation was reaffirmed in June 2016.

In February 2023, the college had introduced it’s 2 new graduate programs in Master’s of Organizational Leadership and Master’s in Applied Analytics. Residence Facility at Muhlenberg College
Muhlenberg college requires all its students to live on campus. Only 3rd year and fourth year students are eligible to apply for off-campus housing but these students are not guaranteed approval. Around 91% of the student population live on campus.
The dormitories are available on each side of the campus. The dorms situated on the west side of the campus are called ‘west squad’ and it is mostly resided by 1rst year students. The ‘east squad’ and ‘south squad’ are resided by upperclassmen. All these dormitories have a kitchen with stove and oven on each floor, study launches, recreational rooms. Some dorms also have vending machines and also a laundry room with coin operated machines.
There is ‘Muhlenberg Independence Living Experience (MILE)’ which offers students to stay in suites, apartments and houses. To give everyone a fair chance, Muhlenberg has kept MILE lotteries where in order to reside in the MILE housing, the students need to submit both individual and a group application to take part in the lottery.
There is also a general lottery where both the roommates have to submit an application to take part in the lottery for the rest on-campus residences. Students with any sort of disability need to submit a separate application given on a website so that they can get a suitable living experience on campus.
