Scholarships are offered by IIT Goa to help its meritorious and needy students and encourage them to enroll among the top programs and courses offered by the institute. The scholarships offered by IIT Goa are mentioned below. 

Merit Cum Means Scholarship:

  • The Merit Cum Means Scholarship is awarded to a maximum of 25% of students admitted to the B.Tech program. 
  • The MCM Scholarship is based on the family income and the scores of candidates in the entrance and the 12th standard as well.
  • The selected students are exempted from the payment of the full tuition fee and also, the students are given a pocket allowance of INR 1000 per month.
  • Although, proof of annual family income is required to be submitted.
  • The SC/ST category students are given the benefit of free messing under the MCM Scholarship. 

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for Top Class Education for SC students:

A total of 12 scholarships are given to the students of Engineering and Technology and 10 to the students of Management by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, GOI.

  • The total annual family income should not be more than INR 4.5 lakhs.
  • The basic documents required for the scholarship are as follows.
    • Copy of Caste Certificate.
    • Bank Account Number.
    • Copy of AADHAR Card.
    • Copy of proof of admission to IIT Goa.
    • Copy of Hostel Fee and Mess Advance.
    • Proof of Income.
