Course Description

Kalinga University offers various UG and PG level courses under 14 departments such as Law, Science, Commerce, Pharmacy, Management Studies, Information Technology.

Kalinga University provides admission to Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Pharmacy courses. The duration of B.Tech. and B.Pharmacy is 4-years. For Admission in B.Tech and B.Pharma courses, basic eligibility required is 10+2 passed in science stream with at least 45% marks.

The application form for B.Tech & B.Pharma is available in both online and offline modes. Application fee of INR 500 can be paid by Cash, Demand Draft, Credit card, Debit card or Net banking. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are set up by the University for Prior Shortlisting of candidates.

B.Tech.: Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be based on merit, which will be determined on the basis of academic performance. A merit list will be generated according to the performance and selected candidates will be called for Interview. Candidates selected for interview must carry all the original documents with them.

How to Apply?

Application process for B.Tech and B.Pharma is both online and offline. Application form can be obtained by downloading it from the official website or can be collected from the Reception of university.

Offline Mode

Candidates can get the application form at the Reception of the university by paying cash or Demand draft of INR 500. Candidates must fill the application form and attach relevant enclosures such as academic qualification documents, migration certificate and work experience, if any.

Application form must be attached with Gazetted officer attested photocopies of all eligibility certificates as given below:

Application Fee

Candidates need to pay the application fee of INR 500. The fee can be paid through both offline and online modes.

In Online mode, payment can be made through credit card, debit card or net banking.
In Offline mode, payment can be made through Demand draft drawn in favor of Kalinga University payable at Raipur or cash.

Having known some people studying in both these institutes, I can say that Kalinga University (KU) is much better than Amrita University. Here are some points in support of this statement. KU has a great reputation and is often compared with the NITs. The placements at KU are far better than at Amrita University. Top companies like Infosys, Accenture, HP, PWC, TCS, Dell, etc. take part in their placement program. They have a huge campus, very well maintained and equipped with all the necessary facilities. The campus environment is excellent with well-equipped hostel rooms. I will suggest that you do your research, visit the colleges personally, meet the departmental faculties, evaluate the atmosphere on campus and then decide.

I have a few friends who graduated from Kalinga University Raipur and according to them, it is a decent option for pursuing an MBA. The faculty of the university is great. They are well-qualified and cooperative. It has a good infrastructure. Students get facilities such as a well-stocked library, good hostel facilities, wi-fi campus, gym, canteen, mess, food zone, etc. The sports facilities on campus are also quite great.
