Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management (IITRAM) is an autonomous university established in 2013 by the Government of Gujarat.

IITRAM received an award for being the Top Institute of India by CSR in 2019.

The Institute offers admission to courses offered by the institute including B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in various specializations.

Admission to B.Tech will be based on the marks secured in the JEE Main or GUJCET ranks and Higher Secondary Examination qualified students can apply for admission.

Counseling for admission will be conducted by JoSAA (national level) and ACPC, Gujarat (state level), respectively.

Further, the Institute offers admission to the M.Tech and Ph.D. programme. For admissions to M.Tech candidates shall be admitted on the basis of GATE scores and/or entrance exam conducted by IITRAM.

Minimum of 55% marks in B.E. /B.Tech. or equivalent in a relevant specialization (50% marks for reserved category candidates).

Admissions to Ph.D are offered on the basis of performance in written test followed by an interview.

Admissions will be strictly based on JEE Main/GUJCET scores/ranks followed by allotment of 50% seats through national counseling conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The remaining 50% seats shall be allotted through off-campus online counseling conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat.

IITRAM Ahmedabad Selection Criteria:

Admission to the course will be based either on the performance in JEE Mains or GUJCET.
Qualified students will be further called for counseling.
JoSAA/ACPC counseling is conducted in an online mode and candidates who have qualified as per merit ranks must register on the official websites to participate in seat allotment admission process.

How to Apply for B.Tech in IITRAM Ahmedabad?

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech course must strictly follow the instructions to register for national/state level counseling conducted by JoSAA and ACPC respectively.

Counselling Process:

All JEE/GUJCET qualified candidates eligible for central counseling should register at the official website of JoSAA or GUJCET.
JEE qualified candidates are not required to pay any registration fee for counseling.
However, GUJCET candidates must register themselves for counseling by purchasing the Information Booklet and PIN from any designated branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank by remitting a fee of INR 350.
Candidates shall be allotted seats in the college based on choice in the order of merit over multiple rounds of counseling.
Candidates are required to deposit ‘Seat Acceptance Fee’ and report in the institute as per schedule.

For candidates holding minimum eligibility qualifications following additional credentials are desirable:

How does IITRAM compare with SVNIT?

NIT Surat is one of the oldest NITs in India and also the education standards are good. However, the quality of education provided at IITRAM can be compared to that of IITs. It is definitely way better than NITs.

IITRAM has a unique educational structure and pattern. The main motto and aim of IITRAM are to create skilled engineers.
IIRAM has been honored with prestigious awards over the years. You can check them on the institute's official website.
It has a center of excellence. Which helps students by providing industrial knowledge. Coming to the labs and the infrastructure, it is compatible and better than NIT Surat.

Many of my friends choose IITRAM over NIT Surat and they stand by their decision.

IITRAM(Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management) is a public University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The institute is ranked 201 for BTech by NIRF 2020.

SRM has been accredited 'A++' Grade by NAAC and is ranked 41st in India by NIRF whereas PDPU got an 'A' grade by NAAC and is graded Autonomy by UGC. It's ranked 177th in India by NIRF. On the other hand, IITRAM is graded Autonomy by UGC. It's ranked 201st in India by NIRF. Manipal has been accredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade and is ranked 45th in India by NIRF.

Absolutely, if you are interested in pursuing civil engineering in Gujarat, then IITRAM is a better option than Nirma and PDPU. There are several reasons for this.

IIT Gandhinagar is the mentor of IITRAM, and it has a COE by Siemens. This association ensures that IITRAM provides excellent facilities and exposure to its students.
IITRAM is the nodal centre in Gujarat for the E-Yantra project (Robotics) initiated by IIT Bombay. This project enables students to gain hands-on experience in robotics, which is essential in today's world.
The Board of Governance and Academic Council of IITRAM comprise directors, deans, and professors from IIT Gandhinagar, which is also reflected in the college's brochure. The faculty selection for IITRAM is done by IIT GN, and the syllabus is decided with the help of IITB.
IITRAM has a Siemens Centre of Excellence, which has nine extraordinary labs, along with 13 other labs, providing practical knowledge to students.

Therefore, if you are an ACPC student in Gujarat, it is a golden opportunity for you to pursue civil engineering at IITRAM.

However, it is essential to note that IITRAM is an excellent option only if you have an interest in core branches such as mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering. If you are interested in computer science, then you should prefer Nirma. On the other hand, if you are interested in petroleum, then PDPU would be a better option for you. LD is also a very good option for those who cannot afford Nirma and PDPU.

IITRAM has been ranked at number 201 in all universities of India and has been ranked 2nd best in Ahmedabad for its Engineering courses by NIRF rankings. IIITDM Jabalpur has been ranked at 69th number by NIRF. It has been repeatedly ranked as one of the best engineering colleges by many magazines and ranking frameworks.

IITRAM is an autonomous university, it provides courses in Engineering only with highly experienced faculty members and it is known to provide excellent placements since the year it was established. IIITDM Jabalpur has been approved by UGC and the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Course Structure:

IITRAM-

It provides an autonomous course structure. The mechanical engineering department is relatively easy to get into.
It offers numerous research opportunities and competitions for students to show their skills and interests.
The institute also provides modern technological methods and equipment for students to be industry-ready.

IIITDM-

The institute also provides a specialized course structure that has been materialized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development itself.
