Ques
Should I join AMET University for Naval architecture (lateral entry)?

● Top Answer By Deepika Roy on 05 Apr 21

Ans
It cannot be said yes or no for this question as it depends upon you how much you are interested in this field. While entering college you need to have an interest in the maritime field. This means that you should know about this field, growth, career, etc. You also need to have an interest in design, food production, and technology. Since this stream is very rarely taken by students, it is very costly. For choosing such a stream you should first assure yourself that you are financially sound. The various benefit of perusing naval architecture from AMET University is as follows: As this is a totally different field you will stand out among the crowd in the society and you may get a job as lesser people take this stream. If you try jobs abroad you may get good opportunities abroad with higher packages. You will also be getting challenging projects which will help you in your career. The various types of limitations of perusing this type of course are: You may get less opportunity in India. As a fresher, you may not get good jobs with good salaries. Since you will find difficulty in getting jobs your career growth will get hampered. This field requires more innovation which can be sometimes difficult for you. Since after investing a huge amount of money in this course there is no guarantee that you will get a good job with handsome salary, so there is a lesser return on investment. Now the final decision is yours. So, choose wisely.
