Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) was established in 2015. The university offers B.Tech, B.Arch, BBA, B.Sc, BCA, B.Com and B.Pharm programs at UG level and M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Pharm, M.Sc and MBA programs at PG levels.

Additionally, it also offers Ph.D. degree courses in various disciplines of Engineering and Technology, Sciences and Pharmacy along with the Lateral Entry programs.

Application forms for all the courses are available online on the official website.
Minimum eligibility for UG courses is HSC and for PG courses it is graduation degree in the concerned discipline.
For B.Tech and B.Arch degree courses, one has to qualify JEE Main and NATA examinations respectively.
Selections for UG courses like BBA, BCA, B.Sc, B.Com and Lateral Entry courses is based on the performance of the candidates in the concerned qualifying exam designed for each course.
The candidates applying for M. Tech and MBA program should have appeared for GATE and CMAT respectively.
For MCA, M.Sc, M.Pharm and MCA Lateral Entry, the selection is based on the merit list in the qualifying examination.
85% seats in each course are open for the candidates of Punjab state only and 15% seats are open for the candidates of other states.
Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) also offers a Ph.D. degree in 11 disciplines. Minimum eligibility for admission to this course is a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
The admission to the Ph.D. course is based on the Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the university.

MRSPTU B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm & Phram.D Admission 2023

MRSPTU offers B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm and Pharma. D courses in its constituent and affiliated colleges. For admission to B.Tech program, the candidates must have passed HSC (10+2) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) with minimum 75% marks. The candidates seeking admission in B.Tech courses have to qualify in JEE Main.

Minimum eligibility for admission through Lateral Entry is a three-year Diploma from an AICTE approved institution with at least 45% marks.

For admission to B.Arch, B.Pharm and Pharma. D courses, the candidates should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. For B.Arch course, the candidates should have a valid NATA score card. The admission to B.Pharm, Pharma. D and Lateral Entry courses are given on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination.

MRSPTU M.Tech Admission 2023

MRSPTU offers M.Tech courses in 9 disciplines. The basic eligibility for admission in the M.Tech courses is a BE/ B. Tech degree in the relevant discipline.

Selections to the M.Tech course are done on the basis of GATE merit. However, GATE is not mandatory and admissions are also given on the basis of candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination. Application forms can be filled online on the university’s website.

MRSPTU PG Admission 2023: MBA, M.Pharm, MCA & M.Sc

MRSPTU offers PG courses like MBA, M.Pharm, MCA (Regular as well as Lateral Entry), M.Sc and MCA in various disciplines. Applicants should have done graduation in the concerned subject in order to be eligible for these courses.

Admission to MBA program is done on the basis of CMAT exam merit list. However, it is not mandatory to appear for CMAT as admissions are also given on the basis of candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination. Selection to other courses is done on the basis of marks of the qualifying examination.

MRSPTU Ph.D. Admission 2023

MRSPTU offers Ph.D. in 11 disciplines under faculties of Engineering and Technology, Sciences and Pharmacy. Application forms can be filled online on the university website. The candidates should have done Master’s degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks in order to be eligible.

Admission to the Ph.D. courses is based on Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET conducted by the university itself. The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, SET-TS or JEST examination are exempted from appearing in PET.

MRSPTU Application process 2023

In order to participate in the counseling process, the candidates need to register themselves online. Following are the steps to apply online:

Visit the official website of MRSPTU.
Click on the Course Name in which you want to secure admission.
Enter the following details such as Name, Father’s name, Mother’s name, Gender, Date of Birth, Email-ID, Password, Mobile number, State, City and Roll Number (Matriculation).
Pay fees of INR 2,000 (Non-Refundable) through online or offline modes. The offline mode is available for two designated Banks, i.e., HDFC and Central Bank of India.
After successful submission, the candidate will receive a confirmation e-mail regarding registration and candidate’s login-ID along with the password.

70% seats in Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College are meant for rural area candidates.
1% seats are reserved for Tsunami affected persons, children grandchildren of original ex-serviceman settlers of Campbell Bay Island or students suffering from Cancer, AIDS or Thalassemia.
33.3% of the total seats in the university are reserved as management quota seats.
