Amity University Noida Admission FAQs

Ques. Can students get into Amity University Noida without very high marks?

Ans. Amity University Noida admission is usually more accessible than admission to very competitive institutions such as DU or IITs. Students who meet the basic eligibility rules and do reasonably well in the PI have a good chance of selection. Many applicants with average Class 12 scores of 60-75% have also received admission. However, high-demand courses such as B.Tech CSE and BBA may be tougher because seats can fill quickly.

Ques. What role does the PI play in Amity University Noida selection?

Ans. The Personal Interview, or PI, is an important step at Amity University Noida, but it is not usually very difficult. Students are generally asked simple questions about their studies, course choice and general awareness. Rejection at this stage is not common, but it can happen if the student is not prepared or gives unclear answers. Clear communication, confidence and real interest in the selected course usually help in the interview.

Ques. Is direct application better than applying through CUET or JEE Main for Amity University Noida?

Ans. Direct application is often the easiest way to book a seat early at Amity University Noida. CUET and JEE Main are not compulsory for most programmes, but good scores in these exams can help students get scholarships or fee benefits. Many applicants first apply directly and then submit entrance exam scores later if they get a strong percentile.

Ques. Why should students apply early for Amity University Noida admission?

Ans. Early application can help students at Amity University Noida because popular courses such as B.Tech CSE, BBA and Psychology may fill fast. Scholarships and hostel rooms are also often given on a first-come, first-served basis. Applying early can improve the chance of getting the preferred course and other benefits.

No, these universities almost have zero credibility. You have to realize the fact that the main goal of these big universities is to make money.

I have heard a lot of reviews from my friends who studied at these universities. Following are lesser-known facts about these universities:

  • During the admission, you will be told about the institute and will be assured about top-class facilities including AC in your classrooms. When you get allured in, you will face reality. Your expectations will be barely met.
  • Most of the teaching faculties are newly appointed with most of them having no experience in teaching at all. Most of them will vanish after that semester and again, new faculties are appointed.
  • Attendance criteria is very strict and teachers' way to control students. Even if you are five minutes late to the class, talking in class, or unable to answer a question in class, you are marked absent.
  • There is no particular format for allotting the internal assessment or Semester end exam marks. If teachers are not that fond of you, you are definitely going to have a tough time here.
  • Making students reappear in their exams is a new scheme of making money for these institutes. Whenever the results are out, around 80% of the class is going to fail in one or more papers. To reappear for one paper, you have to pay 5-8K.
  • Fee demand is very high and ROI is very low, due to which the number of students drop out every year.
  • You will be judged in every aspect, based on what you are wearing, that too if you are a girl. You will be sent back to hostels.

Overall it's a no-brainer to avoid attending these institutes. Paying so much when you are getting so little in return, makes literally no sense at all. So think twice before opting for any of these institutes.

No, Amity Noida is not a good option for an MBA in HR. Very few recruiting companies offer HR job roles. From the company pool, there will be hardly 2-3 companies offering HR job roles. Also, the placement packages offered are average. Amity Noida MBA placements 2022 concluded with an average CTC of INR 6 LPA.

One of my seniors from school is an alumnus of Amity University and he was very satisfied with the BBA program of the university. He completed his course with ease with a bit of smart work.

  • The BBA course aims to prepare the students for a life in management in business after successful completion of the degree. The faculty would be productive if the students are proactive in their approach.
  • Amity University gives ample opportunities to the students for growth if they are willing to take the initiative.
  • The university is somewhat expensive and the return on investment leaves a lot to be desired. If you are looking forward to BBA then you should start preparing for MBA from the first year itself. Most companies that visit the campus in the hopes of recruiting BBA students are BPOs or KPOs.

Overall, Amity is a decent option for a BBA degree.

If you are looking for a nice place to stay, you should definitely do a personal visit to every place you shortlisted. You should think before putting your life and money in other peoples’ hands because everyone brags about their service, but actually, the performance is zero.

  • Instead of PGs, you can choose professionally managed student centers. These properties are designed and managed as per the needs of the students.
  • The staff takes care of everything: from housekeeping to buffet and from maintenance to security.
  • You will get round-the-clock SOS helpline numbers in case of any non-medical or medical emergency.

If you are looking for only PGs, then your main focus should be to search for a place that has an in-house kitchen because you can feel hungry at any time of the day.

  • This service is provided by the Students Inn only. It is located opposite Gate No.2 of Amity University.
  • You can enjoy omelets, boiled eggs, Maggi, pakoras at any time of the day.
  • Good quality food is served as per regular meal timings and high tea served in the evening.
  • The rooms are spacious and it also has a brand-new gym in the basement.
  • Every room is provided with a TV, cable, and Netflix.

In case you have has any kind of grievance as far as the quality of service is concerned, the place provides a customer helpline to sort out such issues. Houses are decorated with modern facilities so that your living becomes comfortable and pleasurable.

Compared to Amity Noida, LPU is better in terms of placements, infrastructure, and campus life. Each year more than 500+ national and international companies visit LPU placements. Microsoft, Adobe, and Amazon are some of the major recruiters. During the 2021 placement drive, the highest CTC offered was INR 42 LPA.

LPU has a brilliant faculty base. Most of the faculty members are alumni of IITs, IIMs, NITs, and are reputed universities around the world.

You can avail all the facilities on the university campus itself. There are central libraries, hospital facilities, indoor sports stadium, shopping mall, and ATMs.

Although the course fee is a little high, you can avail of merit-based scholarships and sports scholarships.

Amity Noida has 3 institutes, i.e. Amity Business School (ABS), AIBS (Amity International Business School), AGBS (Amity Global Business School).

ABS is quite reputed among students and worth every penny you spend there. However, Amity is not AICTE approved. Although the degrees offered by Amity are UGC recognized.

One of my friends did pursue his MBA from amity and he says he had a great experience. The faculty base at Amity is a mix of good and average teachers. The placement is quite good too with many MNCs visiting the campus for placements.

Here’s a brief highlight of the institute.

Overall, ABS is a decent option for MBA. The other two institutes are not that good.

If you are considering Amity University, Noida for Engineering, it is recommended that you do not enroll there. According to students who completed their bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from there, it's a pathetic place to study. They claim that the quality of teaching is very poor, research is nil, and fees are too high. They highly recommend that you join KIIT, Bhubaneswar for a B.Tech, rather than Amity University, Noida.

Based on their experience, they believe that anyone who recommends Amity is either lying or trying to get a commission from you. Therefore, it's advised that you look into other options and do your research before making a decision on where to pursue your engineering degree.

Here is a video comparing these top engineering colleges
