Selection Criteria

Admissions to the LLB (Hons. ) course in Galgotias University are merit-based i.e., students are selected on the basis of percentage obtained in their previous qualification ( UG or UG + PG ) or entrance exams - CLAT / LSAT - India™. The exam consists of 200 MCQs each correct answer is awarded 1 mark and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

LSAT - India™:

LSAT stands for Law School Admission Test.
The exam is conducted for admissions to LLB, LLM and five years integrated Law courses in Indian Law Universities / Colleges.
The exam consists of 92 questions and unlike CLAT there is no penalty for any wrong answer. The result of candidates is based on a score band of 420 - 480 marks with a percentile system. The questions asked in the exam are from Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension sections.

Galgotias University LLB Course Details

Program Structure

The duration of the LLB (Hons. ) course at Galgotias University is 3 years (6 semesters). One Semester is equivalent to 21 working weeks inclusive of 17 instructional and 4 Semester End Exam week.
There are 7 papers in each term having 4 credits including 2 Honours Course Papers in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th semesters having 3 credits.
From 2nd to 5th-semester, students have to go for Summer and Winter Internships at Trial Courts, Law Firms, High Court and Supreme Court, 2 credits are awarded for these internships.
There are 27 credits in 1st, 30 credits in 2nd, 28 credits each in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 26 credits in the 6th semester.
A minimum attendance of 85% is mandatory, which can be further reduced to 75% after seeking permission on the compelling grounds of :

The performance of students in the course is evaluated on the basis of their performance in End Term Evaluation, 2 Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT) and Continuous Evaluation by Teacher ( Quizzes, Assignments, Projects, Seminars, Viva - voice, etc. ). Yes, there are PGs near Galgotias University but it can be very tough getting one for less than Rs: 6,000. My friend used to be a student of Galgotias University and he used to stay in a PG which was very close to the university. He used to live at Stanza Living. His living experience at Stanza Living was a memorable one. The PG used to organize events for career enhancement which made life in the hostel interesting. Food provided at the PG is quite good too. The rent is made known to the students straight away. Stanza Living offers rooms that are fully furnished, there is unlimited wifi, laundry service. In addition to that, the PG also provides facilities for transportation to and from the university. Stanza Living is at a distance of 15 km from Galgotias University. Most of the PGs are available in Alpha, Beta, and Gamma colonies of Greater Noida. Which is almost 15 km away from Galgotias University on the Expressway. It’s hard to find any PG or personal accommodation before this and daily commute is unavoidable.
