Course Description

Bachelor of Science or B.Sc. in Chemistry is an undergraduate course which introduces students to the fundamentals of chemical sciences. It is a 3 year course and is divided in 6 semesters.

B.Sc. chemistry is one of the oldest undergraduate science courses to be introduced in the Indian education system. It addresses the issue of generating, trained and skilled professionals specifically in the field of Chemistry. The basic eligibility for admission to the course is a 10+2 with science subjects including chemistry.

The average tuition fee for B.Sc. Chemistry in government aided college ranges from 10,000 INR to 20,000 INR for three years. For private institutions, the fee may be as high as 1.5 Lakh INR.

Once the course is over, a B.Sc. graduate can seek employment in various public and private sector organizations. Some of the job designations which are ideal for a B.Sc. If you want a career in litigation, then Allahabad University is a good option. You will get ample time and resources to build required skills. Allahabad High Court and lower courts will assist in clearing your basics and make you a professional. It is a good option for judicial services too. You will be able to manage your preparations, as attendance rules aren’t strict.

But for corporate sector jobs, Allahabad University isn’t a good option. Very few companies visit the campus placements.

Allahabad University offers a good campus experience. The architecture of the main campus is beautiful. Students are provided with ample facilities and resources. The university library has a decent collection of course books. The environment on campus is adaptable. You will meet people from all over the country on campus. The seniors are helpful.

AU has strict rules and regulations regarding attendance and uniforms. At times, you may feel like, you are still in school.
