Is getting admission to Allahabad University tough?

For PG courses, getting admission can be a little difficult, due to the limited number of seats. But, with strategic preparation, you can score well on the entrance test. Allahabad University is called the Oxford of the East. However, it is a bit easy to secure admission here than at JNU or DU. With limited seats in PG courses, the level of entrance exam is tough as compared to UG courses. The questions asked in the exam are often found to be the level of UPSC GS.
You can go through the reference books available in the market to get an idea of the entrance exam. With sincere study, you can secure a seat at affiliated colleges at Allahabad University, if not the main campus.
However, if you are passionate about studies and have a desire to prove yourself, you should not apply to this university. The students here lack ambition and the level of competition is very low.
