Course Description

Bachelor of Science or B.Sc. in Biochemistry (B.Sc. Biochem) is an undergraduate course in chemical and physio-chemical processes. An integral factor for being eligible for this course is that the candidate must have completed 10+2 and passed HSC Examination from a recognised school in India.

Like all undergraduate program, B.Sc. Biochem is a three years course. Admission to the program is based on marks scored in 10+2. The average tuition fee for the entire course ranges between 36 Thousand INR to 1.5 Lakhs INR.

B.Sc. Biochem is a course through which students can find ample job opportunities in Medical industry, research labs, agriculture, pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions etc. Within these sectors, professionals can find job profiles like that of a Clinical Researcher, Research Scientist, Lecturer, Professor Etc.

If you want a career in litigation, then Allahabad University is a good option. You will get ample time and resources to build required skills. Allahabad High Court and lower courts will assist in clearing your basics and make you a professional. It is a good option for judicial services too. You will be able to manage your preparations, as attendance rules aren’t strict.

But for corporate sector jobs, Allahabad University isn’t a good option. Very few companies visit the campus placements.

Allahabad University law degrees are cost-effective compared to NLUs. The total tuition fee for LLB at the university is only INR 2.3 Lakhs. Also, Allahabad isn’t a costly city.

There is no such official syllabus for Allahabad University BA entrance. You can follow Lucent General Knowledge, it covers most of the syllabus for subject tests, except for logic, Urdu, and Sanksrit. The questions asked in General Awareness, and General mental ability tests are simple. You will be able to solve these questions easily. For subject tests, the questions will be of intermediate level.

Allahabad University offers a good campus experience. The architecture of the main campus is beautiful. Students are provided with ample facilities and resources. The university library has a decent collection of course books. The environment on campus is adaptable. You will meet people from all over the country on campus. The seniors are helpful.

AU has strict rules and regulations regarding attendance and uniforms. At times, you may feel like, you are still in school.

Allahabad University is known for its Arts faculty. In the Arts faculty, there are 15 different departments. The main campus alone takes about 2000 students each year.

The cutoff varies each year depending on different factors. However, the competition is not that tough. If you have done about 60 questions out of 150 correctly then you can easily get selected. In 2021, the required cutoff for all categories in the first round was 186. However, to get hostel accommodation will have to secure around 220 marks.
