Allahabad University BA admission 2023 is ongoing. Admission to the BA program is based on scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG), conducted by NTA. Allahabad University offers full-time BA programs at the undergraduate level for a duration of 3 years. The BA program is specialized in 25 subjects that include Geography, Economics, Political Science, History, Music, Urdu, Psychology, Philosophy, English, Hindi, etc. A higher secondary pass with the relevant subject is the minimum requirement to get eligible for BA admission.

Allahabad University BA Eligibility Criteria
A candidate desirous of getting admission into BA must have passed 10+2 with the relevant subject from a recognized board.
Allahabad University BA Admission Guidelines
Admission to BA program will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by NTA. The Merit list for counseling and admission to all courses will be operationalized by the Coordinator CUET -2023 (Nodal Officer of NTA).
Allahabad University BA Entrance Exam Pattern
Admission to BA course is strictly based on the CUET scores followed by counseling. The entrance test will consist of 3 sections. First is language, the second is “Domain-specific topics”, and the third one is general knowledge. Details are as follows:
- English or Hindi is compulsory for all students seeking admission to the University of Allahabad under the compulsory Language section 1A of CUET.
- Candidates are required to appear in at least two (02) domain-specific subjects of section-2 of CUET. Available subjects are as follows:
- Economics
- Political Science
- Sociology
- Psychology
- Anthropology
- History
- Geography
- In section III of CUET, candidates will have to appear for a general test.

Allahabad University BA Placements
Allahabad State University has a Placement Cell which actively coordinates with various companies and organizes internships and recruitment drives on the university campus. The cell keeps a database of resumes of all students of the university and shares the same with various companies.
Companies visiting the campus shortlist students based on their own selection criteria, offer pre-placement talks, conduct recruitment process, and make the final selection of candidates. There is no such official syllabus for Allahabad University BA entrance. The questions asked in General Awareness, and General mental ability tests are simple. You will be able to solve these questions easily. Allahabad University offers a good campus experience. The architecture of the main campus is beautiful. Students are provided with ample facilities and resources. The university library has a decent collection of course books. The environment on campus is adaptable. You will meet people from all over the country on campus. The seniors are helpful.
AU has strict rules and regulations regarding attendance and uniforms. At times, you may feel like, you are still in school.
For B.Sc, Allahabad University will be better. AU has a better Science faculty. The syllabus and course structure will give you an edge over other universities. The departmental labs are well-equipped with the latest instruments and technologies. Each department of the university has a well-qualified faculty pool. Overall, you will get a better learning experience at AU.
Allahabad University is known for its Arts faculty. In the Arts faculty, there are 15 different departments. The main campus alone takes about 2000 students each year.
The cutoff varies each year depending on different factors. However, the competition is not that tough. If you have done about 60 questions out of 150 correctly then you can easily get selected. In 2021, the required cutoff for all categories in the first round was 186. However, to get hostel accommodation will have to secure around 220 marks.
Allahabad University LLB will be a better option. Being a central university it offers better academics and resources. The Law faculty of Allahabad University is excellent. The environment on campus is competitive and inspires learning. As a student of AU, you will also have a locational advantage, since Allahabad Highcourt is located closer to the campus.
