BIHER B.Arch Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the BIHER B.Arch course shall fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Qualifying Examination: Applicants must have passed 10th and 12th or equivalent exams from a recognized board with Maths as a compulsory subject. Candidates with a 10+3 year Diploma in any stream are also eligible to apply.
Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
Entrance Examination: Candidates must have qualified for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture.

The selection of the candidates in the BIHER B.Arch program is done through NATA scores followed by an interaction and counseling procedure.

How to Apply?

Initial Registration Process: Visit the official website of Bharath University or you can use the below link to reach the online admission window of BIHER and apply: https://admission.bharathuniv.ac.in/
Now, candidates have to click on the “New Registration” tab.
In the registration process, the applicants will be required to enter their name, e-mail id, mobile number, password, state, city, and specialization with captcha code.
After entering the details, candidates will have to click on ‘Register’ and complete the registration.
Filling the application form online: After the completion of the registration, a verification link will be sent to the mail address of the candidate. Using the same, candidates will have to log in using their username and password to complete filling out the application form.
In the following sections, candidates will be asked to enter their parent’s name, date of birth, nationality, religion, gender, parent’s occupation, etc.
Applicants are then required to enter their course name along with three choices of the branch as per their preferences. There is also a section on educational qualification details and address details.
Uploading of Photograph and Signature: After entering all the aforementioned details, the applicant will be asked to upload the photograph and signature, both of which must be scanned and properly uploaded abiding by the specifications enlisted on the website.
Payment of Application Fees: After entering all the details, candidates must pay an application fee of INR 1,000 through online payment means such as debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Submission and Downloading of the Application Form:
Soon after the submission of the application, an alphanumeric application number will be generated, which will be unique to each applicant.
Candidates are advised to download the application form and keep two to three copies of it for future reference.

BIHER B.Arch Course Details

The Bachelor in Architecture at BIHER is designed in a manner that allows the 5-year duration to be split into 10 semesters.
BIHER B.Arch is a Credit-Based Choice System program.
The coursework consists of studio, theory, electives, thesis, and practical training.
The students are given ample opportunities to flourish by taking certain foundation courses, followed by enhancing their skills with the help of electives and studio practical training.
BIHER B.Arch is a structural program, so in order to maintain the hierarchy, the courses are recommended to be taken in order.
The courses are of either 6, 3, or 4 credits which depend on the nature of the course.
B.Arch students undergo two practical training sessions in the last two semesters of the program.
A dissertation report and thesis of 2 and 32 credits respectively has to be submitted in 8th, 9th, and 10th semester.

Core Courses: Architectural Design is inclusive of architectural design concepts, theories, topics, applications, uses, and other different topics.

Is it really worth it to do CSE for a B.Tech from Bharath University?

No, as per my sister’s personal experience the placement reports are completely fake and only 20% of the students are recruited in very low-level industry packages. The campus remains closed for many months every year due to the strikes and fights on the campus.

These are the few problems faced by students frequently that hinder their growth and destroy the study environment due to which students cannot even concentrate completely on their curriculum.

Try to abstain from getting admission to Bharath University for any of the courses. Develop your overall personality by getting admission into some other decent college.

Which is the best college among these three Bharat University ,Vel Tech and Kalasalingam?

I am not sure how Kalasalingam University's education, faculty, facilities, and placements are. There are numerous options available, but if you must select between Bharat University and Veltech University, both are excellent in every way.

Whether it's about facilities, faculty, college and hostel life, security, food, Campus, Placements, and so on. You will not be sorry if you chose any of them. And, as I previously stated, these are engineering colleges, so you will learn a great deal.

The best thing is that you'll be interacting with people from all over India. Every single student from around the state is going to be on your campus. As a result, educate yourself and improve.

Which university is best, Kalasalingam or Bharat in Chennai? Why?

As one of my friends studied at Kalasalingam University, here are some of the facts about the university. Also as I am not familiar with Bharat University in Chennai so won't be able to tell about that.

Here are some of the pros and cons of Kalasalingam University:

Pros:

Kalasalingam University has a very welcoming atmosphere, the people here are great and accepting.
The campus is 450 acres and has huge buildings and a lot to explore.
They have lesser fees when compared to other universities.
It is a research oriented university.
They also provide education to the rural people.

Cons:

The location is a major disadvantage. It is in a remote area which has no scope for industrial exposure.
Their education standards are average, not up to the mark.
The administration demands extra money for several things which sometimes does not go well for the students.
Sports and extracurricular activities are also average.

Therefore it is suggested that you do not go for Kalasalingam University and check for other better options.

Is Bharath University the best or Veltech?

I would like to provide you with insights about both the given colleges.

Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research aka Bharath University is a Deemed University located in Selaiyur, Chennai. Bharath University offers more than 150 courses in 14 streams. The placements of Bharath University are better than Vel Tech. Around 93% of students got placed in 2018 - 2019. More than 175 companies including Amazon, Wipro, Hexaware, TCS, Infosys, Byju’s, HCL and many more top companies visited the college. The companies offered both technical and non-technical jobs. The maximum salary offered was 15 Lakhs per annum. The average salary was 3 Lakhs per annum. Also, 350+ students were given internships in their respective fields. Mostly students from Computer Science, Mechanical and ECE got placed.

Vel Tech offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Engineering and Technology and Master of Business Administration. The placements in Vel Tech are decent as around 80% of students got placed in 2018 – 19. Companies like Yamaha, Kaar Technologies, Accenture, TCS, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, Byju’s, Tata, Ashok Leyland, Jingsung and many more visited the college. The highest salary package offered was 6.8 Lakhs per annum. The average salary package offered was 2.7 Lakhs per annum. Very few students get placed in ‘core’ companies.

Both the colleges are good enough. Placement chances in Bharath University are somewhat more than Vel Tech. In the end, Decision lies in your hand which college to choose.

How good is Bharath University for mechanical students?

For mechanical engineering, Bharat University is not a better option. It is better that you choose IIT, NIT or well recognised college, as it will be more beneficial for your career development.

Here are some points that why you shouldn’t go to Bharath University.

Bharat University is less popular than the IITs or NITs.
The faculty of the university is efficient but not very helpful when it comes to teaching students.
Bharat University gives more importance to the CGPA of students than knowledge.
The infrastructure is not up to the mark, as it has underdeveloped laboratories and classrooms.
Preference is given to theoretical knowledge over practical knowledge.
The recruiting companies include Amazon, TCS, Nissan, BHEL, HAL, etc.
You must have a good CGPA to sit on-campus placements. And good school records to get placed with a good company.
At least 70% marks is required to be eligible for placements.

Hence, the placement, academic, infrastructure of Bharat University is not worthy. It is recommended to choose your mechanical engineering degree from a more prestigious college.
