B.S. Abdur Rahman University is located in the outskirts of Chennai city. It is accredited with “A” grade by NAAC. The university is ranked 3rd among the Engineering Institutions in Tamil Nadu. The university offers several courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and research level to aspiring students who want to pursue their career as per their choice.

Admission in Engineering is done through an entrance exam conducted by the university or JEE for UG and GATE for PG courses.

Courses like Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) are also offered by the university for a duration period of two years and three years respectively. While Easwari Engineering College is well known for its placements and teaching quality, BS Abdur Rahman University tops the college when it comes to infrastructure as well as research in the field of mechanical engineering.

Eligibility: Easwari Engineering College offers a BE in Mechanical Engineering whereas B.S. Abdur Rahman University offers a BTech in the same.

Easwari Engineering College:

Students are required to have Physics or Mathematics as a compulsory subject in 10+2.
Final admissions are carried out on the basis of the score obtained in the TNEA entrance test.

B.S. Abdur Rahman University:
