Course Description

Alagappa University MBA admission 2023 is open now. The last date to apply is May 10, 2023. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website – alagappauniversity.ac.in. Admission to the MBA program will be based on scores obtained in the entrance test conducted by the university.   • Alagappa University MBA is offered in 20 specializations under Alagappa University, Directorate of Distance Education - [DDE] and Alagappa Institute of Management - [AIM].
  • MBA in Tourism Management offers French as one of the foreign languages to learn in the first semester.
  • MBA Students at Alagappa University undergo the Summer Internship program for at least 2 months at the end of their second semester. Students are hired on a monthly stipend basis.

Alagappa University MBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the Alagappa University MBA program must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with a minimum 50% aggregate score for General Candidates.
  • 45% aggregate scores for SC/ST candidates

Admission to Alagappa University MBA is done through the national-level or university-level entrance exams followed by GD PI.

Alagappa University MBA Application Process

  • Applicants who wish to apply for the MBA courses at Alagappa University have to fill an online application form. Candidates have to choose one of the specializations in the application form.
  • Candidates will appear for the entrance examination. The examination date will be intimated to students at a later stage. CAT, XAT, or MAT qualified candidates will be exempted from the Alagappa University MBA entrance examination 
  • The shortlisted candidates will be invited or a GDPI round
  • The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidates’ performance in the exam, past academic performance, and GD PI performance.

Step 1: Navigate to the Homepage of the Alagappa University website @alagappauniversity.ac.in. 

Step 2: Click on “Online Admissions 2023-24” available on the top right side of the home page. Or you can use the link given below which will redirect you to the MBA Online application: https://admissions.alagappauniversity.ac.in/DepartmentsAdmission//modules/registration/registrationForm.php?type=ENT”

Step 3: Fill in all the details, choose the specialization and select the Examination Centre.

Step 4: Upload the Passport Size Photograph, Signature, Community Certificate, and UG Certificate Sheet.

Step 5: Pay the application fees through a credit card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Step 6: Once you complete the application process, the Examination Date, Time, and Venue will be intimated to you by the University.

Note: CAT, XAT, or MAT qualified candidates have to enter their scores, roll numbers in the application form.

Alagappa University MBA Application Fees 

  • The online application fee for the MBA program is INR 300 for SC/ST students and INR 600 for others.

Alagappa University MBA Course Details

MBA is a two-year course divided into 4 semesters. The two-year Management program prepares students for a career in Industry and Services by facilitating theoretical and practical knowledge of different functional areas of management. Students can choose specialization as per their interest.

  • The medium of instruction would be English.
  • The course is Choice Based Credit Score (CBCS). 
  • Each student has to secure a total of 90 credits for the first and second years.
  • First-year students have to take all the core subjects irrespective of their specialization.
  • Students can choose Elective Subjects in the third and fourth semesters.
  • Students have to undergo a summer internship in the third semester and submit a Summer Internship report.
  • In the fourth semester, a Final project report is to be submitted.

Alagappa University MBA Scholarship

Alagappa University extends help to the desirous and needy students by providing Fee waivers, Stipends, and Scholarships. Some of them are:

  1. Full Fee waiver for deserving students in each Alagappa University MBA program.
  2. Monthly stipend of INR 2,000 per month per student to the meritorious PG students.
  3. PMT & VOC Endowment Merit Scholarship for the first 3 toppers each year.
