The eligibility criteria for admission into the MBA program of Hospital Management offered at Alagappa University:

Passed a bachelor’s degree with a 10+2+3 pattern with 50% aggregate marks for General candidates; SC and ST candidates – 45% aggregate marks.
For an integrated MBA, the candidate must pass in 10+2 examinations in any stream from a recognized board.

Candidates are required to make a DD as a cost of application form drawn in favor of The Registrar, Alagappa University, payable at Karaikudi.

The Admission to Hospitality Management on the basis of an Entrance Examination.
CAT, MAT, or XAT qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test.
A group discussion with the candidate to analyze his/her skills and personality.

How to Apply (Online Mode)?

For applying for online registration, the applicants should have scanned images of their mark statements up to the 5th semester/ cumulative mark statement, community certificate, photograph. They must provide their signature on either DVD, CD, or Pendrive / computer to upload the certificate, photo and signature.
Applicants need to attach their cumulative/individual mark statements, community certificate, photograph, and signature on the online forms.
Candidates need to provide their valid email ID and mobile number to the university for further communication.
Following the above procedure, the candidate is supposed to pay either through Debit/ credit card or via net banking/ Unified Payment Interface (UPI)
If the payment fails, the candidate can retry but if any amount is deducted from the account, it will be refunded within a 2-3 working day.
Filling the details, the student needs to press ' submit' and wait without pressing ' back' or the ' refresh ' button to avoid failure of the cash transaction.
Once the online payment is successful, an SMS will appear on the applicant's phone.
No need to print the application forms.
For the Entrance Examination, an online admit card will be provided from the University Website.

Alagappa University MBA Hospital Management Program Structure

Course Schedule: There will be a total of 80 hours of face-to-face teaching hours every semester. These 80 hours are further divided into theory and practical hours.
Evaluation: Each of the courses offered at Alagappa University MBA Hospital Management is evaluated for a maximum of 100 marks, out of which 25 marks are allotted to Continuous Internal Assessment and 75 marks to the End Semester Examination. The minimum pass percentage for the CIA and External examination is 40% of the total marks.
Attendance Requirements: A student needs to secure at least 75% of attendance each semester to appear for the end semester examination at the end of the semester. Students with less than 60% attendance are not eligible to appear for the examination.
