The candidates must have passed Graduation (minimum three year course) degree or equivalent from any recognized university

Course Details

VMOU BJMC Admission 2024 is open for the January session. The last date to apply has been extended to February 29, 2024. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website @online.vmou.ac.in. The registration fee is INR 200. Selection will be done on the basis of marks secured in the last qualifying examination.  Check VMOU Admission

VMOU BJMC (Bachelor of Journalism) is a 12-month program at the UG level. The maximum duration to complete the course can be extended up to 24 months. VMOU also accepts lateral entry to its Bachelors of Journalism program. The minimum duration of the same is 6 months and the maximum is 12 months. The total fee for the VMOU Bachelor of Journalism program is INR 10100.

VMOU BJMC Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for BJMC admission at VMOU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Candidates must have passed class 12 (10+2) with 50% marks from a recognised board of education.
  • For lateral entry, candidates must hold a diploma degree of three years in a relevant stream from a recognised institute/ university.

VMOU BJMC Admission Criteria

Admission to BJMC at VMOU is done on the basis of merit secured in the qualifying examination. The university does not conduct any entrance examination for admission.

VMOU BJMC Application Process

VMOU BJMC application process is completely online. Application forms for admission can be filled by visiting the official website of the university. Candidates can submit the applications by paying a required fee along with the necessary documents. Given below is the step-by-step process to apply for VMOU BJMC admission:

  • Visit the official website of VMOU (vmou.ac.in)
  • Click on the ‘First Year/Fresh Admissions’ on the upper right corner of the website
  • Tap on the link ‘Apply Now’ and click on the ‘New User’
  • Students are required to register themselves with a valid contact number and email id and verify the registration by entering the received OTP on the given contact details 
  • Enter VMOU login credentials
  • Choose the desired course and fill in the application form with adequate information
  • Upload scanned copy of photograph, signature, and required documents 
  • Submit the application form and pay the required application fee

  • Class 10 marksheet/ age declaration certificate
  • Self-attested copies of eligibility documents (merged PDF format)
  • Original migration certificate (for lateral entry)

BA from IGNOU is better. For undergraduate humanities courses in distance learning, it is best. IGNOU has better recognition. It has a wide range of courses on offer. Classes are conducted regularly. You will get the study materials online. 

Due to the strict evaluation process, IGNOU degrees are valued more, even in the private sector.

You can download your VMOU Admit Card from the official website of the institute - VMOU Admit

To download your admit card, log in to the official website. Go to the notice section and click on ‘Download permission latter’. Enter your personal details, i.e. roll number, name, and password. Your admit card will appear on the screen. Download it.

You can get the VMOU study material from the official website. If you are enrolled in any of the courses offered by the university, you will get the study materials in form of PDFs, on the official website. The PDFs are written in Hindi. You can download the study material free of cost.
