PTU generally charges INR 500 along with tax for the generation of the transcript and sending it outside India. It will take around 30-45 days to reach its destination. If you want extra copies of the document then you will have to pay INR 200-300 extra per copy.
I have a few friends from PTU and according to them, you will have to visit PTU in person to get the transcripts.
There is no requirement for attestation of transcripts. Place an order for single-page transcripts revealing your grades. The transcript fee is INR 300.
PTU does offer an online service for students to apply for transcripts through their official website. Students can create an account, submit the required information, and pay the applicable fees online.
Once the application is processed, the transcripts are typically sent directly to the designated recipient or can be collected in person from the university's transcript office. Yes, migration can be done if you have one supply in PTU. You will need to get a NOC from the college and request for the migration to the PTU. The college will charge INR 10000 for the migration.
This way you can migrate to the new college. The procedure is a bit time taking. You can visit the official website of the college to get more information about the process followed for obtaining migration.
There won’t be any problem if someone gets admission after passing from the PTU counseling. This happens to almost every student.
If you want to take admission via the counseling round then there is a concession for 1000 rupees on admission in PTU.
Compare both the institutes, if it is a government college you can opt for a refund. However, in the case of private colleges, it is your choice to get admitted.
Before choosing, look over the stats of both the institutes and figure out the better one. Choose the college based on Faculty, academics, recognitions, placements stats. Choose the better college out of the two.
As a university, PTU is good enough but if you want to take other aspects into account such as the campus, then keeping your options open would be a good idea. Someone I know has completed her MBA from PTU and in her opinion, the institute is entirely immersed in academics which is not bad per se but there are hardly any extra-curricular activities and events going on. The faculty is also subpar in their abilities.
In the case of engineering, the students are known to memorize everything instead of understanding the concept. There are always exceptions, though. The placement scenario in PTU is also not that great. The average CTC offered at the institute is 5 LPA. However, the colleges under PTU are more popular than the main campus.
Both the Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) and the I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (PTU) are public universities consisting of many private and public engineering colleges. If you are getting private colleges in both of the universities, then there is no point of comparison as both will be essentially the same.
For a good job after your studies, you need to concentrate on the training you will receive between your studies. Also, you will have to practice programming languages very thoroughly. If you can get a percentage of 70% - 75%, then getting a job won’t be a problem in either of the universities.
If you want to stay outside to become independent, then sure you can join any college which is a little farther from your home.
