Course Details

LPU BPT admission 2024 is open now. Admission to BPT at LPU will be done through the LPUNEST entrance examination followed by a counseling process. The last date to apply for LPUNEST 2024 Phase-I is January 25, 2024. LPUNEST 2024 Schedule 1 Exam will be held from January 20 to February 05, 2024. Interested candidates can apply online for LPUNEST 2024 on the official website of LPU.

LPU BPT Course

BPT is a Bachelor of Physiotherapy program approved by IAP (Indian Association of Physiotherapists). The duration of the program is 4.5 years which is 9 semesters. LPU BPT course includes International Exposure options. Students can visit USA/European countries for 4 weeks. The total number of seats available for this program is 90. The 4.5-year BPT program curriculum offers mainly more than 25 types of courses. This includes Clinical Education, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Medical Terminology, and more. LPU BPT subjects provide opportunities for independent studies and project courses during the final semester. Some of the course highlights are:

In the first-year coursework, three will be two semesters of more than 15 courses including laboratories.
After the first and the second year, the college will include seminars on diagnostics.
In the final year, there will be an internship program of 6 months as an autumn semester.
Students get the opportunity to practice in the case of client management, workplace management, administrative skills, documentation, entrepreneurship, ethics, liability, negligence, therapeutic skills, career progress, and self-identity.
The university also offers elective courses. Students can choose the elective course as per their preferences.
Program Structure:
- Community Rehabilitation: it will apply the concept of community physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
- Evidence-Based Practice- students will evaluate scientific literature, critically evaluate scientific papers and write the scientific report.
- Health Promotion- students will be aware of health promotion, prevention of injury and disease.
- Skill Enhancement- enhance the skills and therapeutics in the stream of neurological physiotherapy specialty practice.
- In the end, there will be a full-term internship provided to the students in the hospitals and multi-specialty hospitals. It will give the students a real-time work atmosphere.?

LPU BPT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are required to pass 10+2 in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or equivalent subjects with an aggregate of 60% to qualify for LPUNEST.
Candidates who don’t have English subject in 10+2, then this condition may be waived off offering the candidate in their qualifying exam has studied in English medium.
There will be a relaxation of 5 percent to the North East States and Sikkim candidates/Defence Personnel and their Dependents/Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.
Candidates must have also passed the LPUNEST Entrance exam conducted by the university.

LPU BPT Selection Criteria

Lovely Professional University (LPU) follows the Merit-based selection criteria for BPT Course. Candidates who are eligible for the course are required to appear for the LPUNEST entrance exam. After that, candidates can apply for the BPT admission based on their scores. After this LPUNEST, the university conducts merit-based counseling which is online and there will be a seat allocation process through which candidates are finally selected for admission.

The university invites applications in both online and offline mode. While filling the application form for the BPT course of LPU candidates can obtain and submit the form using one of these methods that is Without Purchasing LPUNEST-2024 Kit (Online) and After Purchasing LPUNEST-2024 Kit.

LPU BPT Admission 2024

Students can register themselves online for LPU 2024 admission. The admissions are currently open. There will be an online mode to fill the application form of the university. Candidates need to visit the official website of the university and follow these steps:

Step 1: Register

Visit the official website of the LPU and register through the official admission portal of LPU i.e. LPU ADMIT.
Click the “Apply Now” tab and fill in the basic details like name, email-id, phone no, gender and password.
Finally, log in to the site with the username and password that you have created.

Step 2: Apply for LPUNEST

LPUNEST is an online eligibility/scholarship test through which the students will be selected for admission and scholarships.
Candidates are required to deposit the test fee.
The application form and a soft copy of the LPUNEST Kit cost INR 1000 (for boys) and INR 500 (for girls).
The cost of the application form and the printed LPUNEST kit is Rs.1500 (for boys) and INR 1000 (for girls).
After that, fill the application form for LPUNEST.

Step 3: Application form

Fill the form with the required details
Select the BPT program from the available course list
Pay the first payment of Rs 10,000. This fee includes the application fee of Rs 500 and the rest is the program fee for the first sem). After that, the university will provide the prospectus at your given address and a unique provisional registration number at your registered email id.
Upload all the documents which are required.
Submit the balance fee within the due date.

Step 4: Exam slot booking

Students can book their preferred exam slot based on their date, time, and venue.

LPU BPT Scholarships

LPU offers extensive scholarship on the basis of LPUNEST (National Entrance and Scholarship Test). The Fee mentioned above is for candidates seeking admission in Phase -I as per LPUNEST Cut-OFF III. Approximately 50% of students are able to crack this scholarship test. The same scholarship is applicable to students scoring 80%-89.9 % in the Qualifying exam. Other Scholarships are:

There will be a scholarship offer based on the Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-Curricular, Social Service, and Bravery Awards.
Also, there will be a special scholarship offered by the university for the Toppers of Education board.

Financial Assistance:

Financial aid for the need-based provided by the university.
There will be a fee concession for the Para-Military, Defence, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Personnel, and their dependents.
Also, there will be a special scholarship for Orphan applicants.
Students with some personal disability are eligible for financial aid.
Reservation Criteria

There are some seats reserved for the categories like:

Economically weaker sections: 20 seats are reserved for the students whose family income is less than 5 lakhs rupees .
Special Category: 50 seats are reserved for the students whose family income is less than 8 lakhs rupees and belong to the special category.

LPU BPT Placements

LPU University conducts the placement drive every year. For BPT The placemats opportunities are not as good as other courses, and students still get placed in some of the reputed hospitals.

This year around 75 percent of the students got the placement.
The B.P.T students have got the highest package of 42 Lakhs. But this time due to the pandemic they got the average package that is 2 to 3 Lakhs.
The Health Insurance companies, Rehabilitation centers, Hospitals, and Home Visits, and Nursing homes visit this campus for BPT.
Maximum roles offered by the companies were Physical therapists, Interns, Sports Physiotherapy and Critical Caregivers.
The top recruiters were Aims, Fortis, Sarvodaya, Apex hospital, Government Hospital, Dhingra Hospital, LPU OPD, Jalandhar OPD, Phagwara OPD, and LPU Facilities.
In general, for the BPT course, the highest package offered was Rs 42 Lakhs and the average package offered is 3.5 Lakhs.

Lovely Professional University is pretty good in all aspects such as academics, infrastructure, faculty, ranking, etc. LPU has a brilliant faculty base. Most of the faculty members are alumni of IITs, IIMs, NITs, etc. The institute has a good placement record. LPU placements 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 42 LPA. Major MNCs like Godrej Consumer, CEAT, Allianz, Hindustan Unilever, etc. visit the campus placement. LPU has a good ecosystem for entrepreneurship as well. If you have a good idea, you can get seed funding from the institute. All basic amenities are available on campus. You won’t need to go out to get anything. The campus has a central library, a shopping mall, indoor sports facilities, public and private sector banks, ATMs, etc. LPU is one of the best private universities in the country. You can benefit a lot from attending the institute.

No, these universities almost have zero credibility. You have to realize the fact that the main goal of these big universities is to make money. I have heard a lot of reviews from my friends who studied at these universities. Following are lesser-known facts about these universities: During the admission, you will be told about the institute and will be assured about top-class facilities including AC in your classrooms. When you get allured in, you will face reality. Your expectations will be barely met. Most of the teaching faculties are newly appointed with most of them having no experience in teaching at all. Most of them will vanish after that semester and again, new faculties are appointed. Attendance criteria is very strict and teachers' way to control students. Even if you are five minutes late to the class, talking in class, or unable to answer a question in class, you are marked absent. There is no particular format for allotting the internal assessment or Semester end exam marks. If teachers are not that fond of you, you are definitely going to have a tough time here. Making students reappear in their exams is a new scheme of making money for these institutes. Whenever the results are out, around 80% of the class is going to fail in one or more papers. To reappear for one paper, you have to pay 5-8K. Fee demand is very high and ROI is very low, due to which the number of students drop out every year. You will be judged in every aspect, based on what you are wearing, that too if you are a girl. You will be sent back to hostels. Overall it's a no-brainer to avoid attending these institutes. Paying so much when you are getting so little in return, makes literally no sense at all. So think twice before opting for any of these institutes.

The management on campus is great. It is one of the safest campuses in North India. Ragging is strictly prohibited on campus. Chandigarh University Placement - CU is conducting its 2022 placement drive. More than 757 recruiters have made around 7500 placement offers. The highest CTC offered this year is 52.11 LPA. But CU has a strict 75% attendance policy. You will need to attend classes regularly, as there is no poxy policy.
