LPU Hostel Mess Menu

To be specific, the LPU hostel menu includes meals having a vegetable, dal, chapati and salad. Also, on some special days and weekends, students are offered pani puri, chowmein, papad, etc.
LPU Hostel Rules
- LPU Hostels are generally allotted for one academic session (10 months).
- However, a residential facility for 12 months may be allotted on special request of the student at extra cost.
- Whenever a residential facility is offered for one calendar year, the student will have to shift the room/hostel building during vacations.
- The residential facility for a lesser duration i.e. One semester or Even Term (with vacations) may be allotted only in the following cases:
- New admissions in a programme of 6 months (or lesser duration) e.g. ELP
- Ph.D. - Part-Time candidate (for Course Work)
- Hostel residents are permitted to keep electrical kettles, electrical irons, laptops, mobile chargers, shaving sets, trimmers, hair straighteners and hair dryers (Extra electricity bill due to the usage of these electrical items will be borne by the respective residents).
- For apartment rooms with a pantry, students may also use induction plates for cooking food.
- Usage of LPG, Kerosene or other oil/gases is strictly prohibited.
- To purchase the Indoor Stadium Membership, all the consumable sports kit has to be brought by the students themselves (for example – swimming costume, squash racket, badminton racket, pistol etc).
- If a student wants a kit consisting of a Bed sheet, Pillow with Cover, Mattress and Curtains (1 Set Per Room) then an amount of INR 3000 is to be paid additionally.

The university offers hostel rooms on a single to six-sharing basis. Lovely Professional University is pretty good in all aspects such as academics, infrastructure, faculty, ranking, etc.
- LPU has a brilliant faculty base. Most of the faculty members are alumni of IITs, IIMs, NITs, etc.
- The institute has a good placement record. LPU placements 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 42 LPA. Major MNCs like Godrej Consumer, CEAT, Allianz, Hindustan Unilever, etc. visit the campus placement.
- LPU has a good ecosystem for entrepreneurship as well. If you have a good idea, you can get seed funding from the institute.
- All basic amenities are available on campus. You won’t need to go out to get anything. The campus has a central library, a shopping mall, indoor sports facilities, public and private sector banks, ATMs, etc.
LPU is one of the best private universities in the country. You can benefit a lot from attending the institute.
No, these universities almost have zero credibility. You have to realize the fact that the main goal of these big universities is to make money.
I have heard a lot of reviews from my friends who studied at these universities. Following are lesser-known facts about these universities:
- During the admission, you will be told about the institute and will be assured about top-class facilities including AC in your classrooms. When you get allured in, you will face reality. Your expectations will be barely met.
- Most of the teaching faculties are newly appointed with most of them having no experience in teaching at all. Most of them will vanish after that semester and again, new faculties are appointed.
- Attendance criteria is very strict and teachers' way to control students. Even if you are five minutes late to the class, talking in class, or unable to answer a question in class, you are marked absent.
- There is no particular format for allotting the internal assessment or Semester end exam marks. If teachers are not that fond of you, you are definitely going to have a tough time here.
- Making students reappear in their exams is a new scheme of making money for these institutes. Whenever the results are out, around 80% of the class is going to fail in one or more papers. To reappear for one paper, you have to pay 5-8K.
- Fee demand is very high and ROI is very low, due to which the number of students drop out every year.
- You will be judged in every aspect, based on what you are wearing, that too if you are a girl. You will be sent back to hostels.
Overall it's a no-brainer to avoid attending these institutes. Paying so much when you are getting so little in return, makes literally no sense at all. So think twice before opting for any of these institutes.
