Course Description

MBA at Guru Nanak Dev University is a 2-year full-time course The online registration for MBA at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has started. Interested students can apply on the official website of the university on or before June 2023. Admission of the students is based on Guru Nanak Dev University Management Entrance Test (GMET) conducted by the University followed by a counseling process. The dates and venue of the entrance test and the counseling schedule will be uploaded on the university website. Guru Nanak Dev University also offers an MBA (FYIC) of 5 years. GNDU MBA Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility criteria for admission to GNDU is stated below:

Candidate is eligible for admission for MBA at Guru Nanak Dev University if he/she has a bachelor's degree in any subject with a minimum of 50% marks. (SC/ST candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks).
wHowever, candidates who apply for MBA (FYIC) are required to have a Senior Secondary Examination (12th Grade) passing certificate with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (SC/ST candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks).

GNDU MBA Admission Criteria:

Admission to MBA at Guru Nanak Dev University is based on Guru Nanak Dev University Management Entrance Test (GMET) conducted by the University followed by a counselling process. Students are selected on the basis of merit in the entrance exam.

GDNU MBA Course Details:

The entire coursework of MBA at Guru Nanak Dev University is divided into 2 years consisting of four semesters. Details of the same are given below:

The first and second semester consists of 24 and 27 credits and the third and fourth semester consists of 29 and 23 credits respectively.
Students can choose electives in the third and fourth semester.
In the third semester, the university offers a total of 12 elective courses (6 groups of 2 subjects each). A student can choose any two of the provided groups each having two papers.
In the fourth semester, the university offers a total of 22 elective courses ( 6 groups). A student can choose any one of the provided groups each having four papers.
Semester 2, 3 and 4 each contain 1 interdisciplinary course which is offered from the outside department.
At the end of the second semester, students have to undergo a summer internship of 6 months duration in the corporate sector.

GNDU MBA Scholarships:

The scholarships offered by Guru Nanak Dev University is listed below:

Single Girl Child Scholarship amounting to INR 36,200/- p.a. for a period of two years (10 months in a year).
INR 3,100 per month is awarded for a period of two years (10 months in a year) as Post Graduate Merit Scholarship to meritorious students at the Undergraduate level for pursuing post graduation.

Ans. Guru Nanak Dev University is indeed a prestigious university. It is the only Category-I University in the region of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh as per the UGC. If you want to choose a college based on placements, then go for GNDU as the placement opportunities available here are very good. If you are getting a seat in the main campus of GNDU, then go for it without any doubts. But there are some colleges too under PTU, which have decent placements. The course you choose is as important as selecting a college. There are some courses where PTU is better but there are some courses too where GNDU takes the lead. If you want to choose branches such as mechanical, civil, electrical then you should probably go for PTU. But if you want to opt for courses like CSE or Electronics choosing GNDU will be better. CGC Landran is the better option for CSE. The department has a good faculty base. The professors try their level best to cooperate with students. There are regular CR meetings, to resolve the problems students are facing. The institute organizes TPP lectures, and training sessions from the first year, itself. CSE has a 100% placement rate. Microsoft, Google, Adobe, TCS, etc. visit CGC Landran campus placements regularly. The average package for the branch is around INR 3-4 LPA.

Well, the procedure is straightforward. You have to go to the Administration Block and the Transcripts Office on the top floor. You need to submit an application that explains why you require transcripts and lists all required credentials. Furthermore, you must pay a fee that is determined by the number of transcripts you require. Three sets of them used to cost 7000 INR each (one set comprised eight transcripts, one for each semester of B.tech), a few years back. You can pay the fee and receive a token slip from the accounting department. The token must then be submitted to the Administration Block office. They'll most likely tell you to wait a week, but if you're lucky, you'll get them sooner.

GNDU Amritsar is a good institute. The campus is great and you can experience nature there with a large number of fields and gardens in and around the campus. I have a few friends who graduated from the institute and here is what they shared about the institute. For the course of graduation in physiotherapy from the sport, medicines, and physiotherapy department, the faculty is interactive and friendly. The students at GNDU feel active all day due to its infrastructure and the greenery found all around the campus. Transportation to the city from campus is cheap and manageable. At the institute, students are supporting many initiatives taken by the Govt. Also, there are many departmental committees that organize various cultural and technical fests. The placements at GNDU are good and many companies visit the campus placements. In the placement drive for 2020-21, the highest CTC offered was 13.50 LPA. Therefore, you can prefer GNDU for any of the courses provided by the institute as it is one of the best universities in Punjab and worth all the money one spends on education.

One of my friends studied at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Amritsar. According to him, the environment is really good, green and clean. It has a well-maintained infrastructure. There are big classrooms, auditoriums and renovated hostels for both boys and girls. GNDU Amritsar has an experienced faculty who are known to be very cooperative. The course curriculum is also good as it familiarizes students with the current industry trends. GNDU Amritsar B.Tech placements are really good. Both on-campus and off-campus placements are held. Students maintaining a good overall performance get recruited by top IT firms and organizations. Other departments like Chemistry, Law, Political Science, Food and Technology, Architecture are really good. There is no union of students like a political body makes it a bit better. Very few cultural programs take place here. The library is the most peaceful part of the campus and is accessible to all the students anytime.

Attendance in DAVIET is monitored very strictly and if it falls short it will affect your overall performance.
