Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I was no more interested in science and wanted to try something new. The faculty is quite good over here and all of them are very qualified. The classes are more interactive than boring usually. It's not that difficult to pass the exam but one has to put in a good amount of effort to score excellent marks.

I am pursuing B.com because I love it. The student-faculty ratio is 1:25 Qualification I have no idea but the teaching method is very good. Timely. Spread exams out over the semester. Giving two exams one week apart doesn't give students adequate time to receive and respond. As teachers and teaching method is good so the exam process is accurate

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was a bio student. But I always wanted to go for IT, which I did, by selecting the course ITM(Information Technology Management). It's similar to a 3years b.tech course (but not in getting the best package in placement). I chose it cause I belong to a middle-class family, and I couldn't be able to get a b.tech course out there(money issue). The faculty-student ratio is 1:22 approx. Faculties are very friendly and will help you any time if you need any help regarding anything. That's the only characteristics that can give you enough opportunity to understand every concept bit by bit and also clearly. All faculties are Ph.D. holders with writers of many books you might know. Follow this link to know more - https://ravenshawuniversity.ac.in/?page_id=19099 In each semester you have to give two exams. The first one is the mid-sem, which is easy if you know and read regularly. The second one is the end-sem, this one is also easy if you attended the classes. All exams are easy if you read.

Ravenshaw University - [RU]: 16 answered questions

Ques
If I get 80% in CBSE class 12 then can I get admission in BBA in ravenshaw?

● Top Answer By Nimisha Saha on 02 May 22

Ans
Usually, during the first round of admission, Ravenshaw BBA cutoff stays around 80%. If you have scored 80% in 12th, there’s a good chance that you will get admission.  For further rounds of admission, the required cutoff decreases depending on the number of seats available. During the third selection round, the required cutoff becomes 50%.

Ques
Can I get admission to Physics (Hons) in Ravenshaw University with 80% in the CBSE board?

● Top Answer By Rituparna Hazra on 16 Nov 21

Ans
Yes, you can get a seat in Physics Hons. in Ravenshaw University.  But may take a 2nd or 3rd list for your name to appear.  Though they have changed the admission process, with an 80% in your CBSE board exams, it won't be hard for you to earn a seat. The only chances you won't be getting a seat is if this year's average 12th marks have risen higher or none of the first list students are leaving Ravenshaw for other opportunities.

Ques
Can one get into Ravenshaw University for a B.Sc. with 80%?

● Top Answer By Kriti Chauhan, on 16 Nov 21

Ans
Yes, you can get admission to Ravenshaw University. But this may vary depending on the Honours subject you are willing to choose.  For some subjects, you can land up in the second cutoff list whereas for others you can get called indirectly for the admissions. Choose your honors subject wisely while filling up the form. 80% and above is sufficient enough to get a seat in dept.s with higher intake capacities. If you are from the general category, there is a good chance of getting a B.Sc. with a PCM major. If you belong to the reserved category, it should hardly be any problem.

Ques
What is the admission process for B.Sc. Hons. Botany in Ravenshaw university and what is the cutoff?

● Top Answer By Rati Singh, on 16 Nov 21

Ans
Admission to Ravenshaw University (RU) is done purely on a merit basis. Your scores in class 10+2 examinations will determine your selection. First, fill-up the form and wait for the merit list. If you are selected in the first round, you will be needed to submit the documents with a demand draft of the amount mentioned.  If you are in the waiting list then also you will have to come to the college to submit the demand draft, showing your interest in taking admission. If you do not get selected, your draft will be returned. The cut-off marks usually change, so nothing could be said for sure. To get some idea about it you can check the previous year's cut off marks in the admission brochure.

Ques
Which courses will provide you with good placement at Ravenshaw University?

● Top Answer By Mithila Sengupta, on 16 Nov 21

Ans
If you are from a Science background then you can apply for: IST(Info Science and Telecommunication) or ITM (IT Management). They both have a good placement record. Reputed companies like Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, etc. are the regular participants in their placement program. The fee is around INR 40,000 for a year, which becomes around 2.5-3 lakh for 3 years. It is better to opt for these than to spend 6 lakh for a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering in any private engineering college. Candidates opting for private colleges can go for Ravenshaw University.

Ques
Do students in Ravenshaw University fail to complete graduation within 3 yrs?

● Top Answer By Priyadarshini Sen, on 16 Nov 21

Ans
Yes, there are students who fail to complete graduation within 3 years. This happens only because of two reasons. Either they failed to attend the exam or they never studied for the exam.  The courses here are very organic and subject-oriented. The faculty members are well experienced and are ready to guide you in every way. You don't even have to enroll in any coaching centers to pass the exams, as the lectures are appropriate and enough for that. If you regularly go through your classwork it becomes much easier to score in Ravenshaw University (RU). Make sure to have 75% attendance at RU, if this is not maintained sitting for your exams will also become problematic.

Ques
How is Ravenshaw University for BA Hons. Economics?

● Top Answer By Adrija Lahiri, on 16 Nov 21

Ans
One of my friends studied at Ravenshaw University. According to him, here are some of the facts about it you should know. Ravenshaw University is the best university in Odisha for pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics. The course structure and the syllabus are similar to the one followed by Delhi University. The faculties are highly experienced and provide proper guidance. It is known to be the most disciplined department in the college. Classes are never disturbed by strikes or student politics. The Economics students proved to be good in entrance exams for Masters in Economics and in the MBA entrance exam. Many of the seniors are pursuing their Masters in reputed institutes like JNU, HCU, MSE, etc. One of them made it to IGIDR last year. Other than academics, Ravenshaw also looks after the holistic development of the students. The infrastructure is well maintained. Hostels are clean and the food provided is hygienic. Many cultural events and fests also take place. Overall, it is a really good college.

Ques
What is the cutoff mark for BBA at Ravenshaw University?

● Top Answer By Diya Rao on 22 Oct 21

Ans
The cut for BBA at Ravenshaw University varies around 80% for the first round and further decreases with the number of seats available. In case you scored less than or equal to 80% then your name will appear in the waiting list and you will get converted in the second round where the cutoff is at 60%. Successively, the cut-off for the third round goes down to 50%. If the seats are vacant after 3rd round then the students who are on the waiting list get admission.  But as far as I know, you would get admission in the third selection round itself because there are plenty of vacant seats in the BBA department. I hope you score well and above 80% so that you get selected in the first round itself or else you may wait till third.

Ques
What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at Ravenshaw University?

● Top Answer By Richa Mishra on 22 Oct 21

Ans
One of my friends studied at Ravenshaw University. According to him, being a private university is actually moderate when everything is considered. Let me discuss a few points in detail for a better perspective. There are few things which you should know if you are in first year so that you can make the right decision as per the situation. If you are in your first year and have full goals to be achieved then do not follow the university curriculum rigorously. You should be aware about CFA, FRM and other courses of international recognition standard which would make a huge difference to your career. Study on your own if you are really interested in gaining knowledge. Even the coaching classes have taught the same thing to the entire batch for decades. Make sure you have good people surrounding you. Make your own study circle for academic purposes. Try and get 2-3 certified courses related to your field which will give you an edge to your profile. Remember that time is the most important thing in life. Don’t waste it. The decision you will make now will decide your life and future prospects. Enjoy but make good use of the opportunities you get.
