Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) offers various courses at UG, PG & Research level courses in various disciplines. Admission to the same is done on the basis of merit list, however, for some courses, the university conducts its own entrance exam. The university provides UG admissions to candidates on the basis of their qualifying marks at the intermediate level. Once the merit list is displayed, candidates can collect the study material from their allotted study center.
YCMOU PG admission for M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, and M.Li.Sc courses are offered on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination. The university conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission in MBA & MPH courses. To be eligible for the same the candidate must possess a Master's degree with at least 55% aggregate marks. Apart from the UG and PG courses, the university also offers 35 Certificate and 29 preliminary Diploma programs in various disciplines. Students can fill the application form online. YCMOU PG Eligibility
- For M.Sc, M.A, M.Com, M.Lib.Sc courses, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with 45% marks in aggregate.
- To be eligible for the MBA programme, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with 50% marks in aggregate ( 45% for candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from a recognized university.
- For the MPH course, candidates must have passed MBBS/BHMS/BUMS/BAMS/BDS degree.
YCMOU PG Selection Criteria
- To be selected in M.Sc, M.A, M.Com, M.Lib.Sc courses merit in the last qualifying examination is the only criteria to secure a seat.
- For admission to MPH, M.Sc in Agricultural Extension, candidates must have valid scores in CET conducted by YCMOU.

The application forms can be filled online by visiting the official website of YCMOU. After completion of online registration, students should download the receipt of online fee (INR 100) payment. Final admission is offered only after the submission of receipt at the designated study center.

Remarks:
The university conduct entrance examination for some of the course, while other university conducts them for all courses. Shivaji university admission on the basis of merit list. therefore the selection of candidates is entirely on marks obtained in the entrance examination.

Securing a job after completing a B.Tech degree from open universities can depend on a lot of things. If it is only based on the degree it could be difficult.
If you want to go for MNCs you have to start by joining smaller organizations and start-ups. Here you can have the chance of getting hired based on your knowledge and skills. Try to improve your writing skills, communication skills, aptitude skills, etc.

Can we get direct second year admission to BA (Bachelor of Arts) in IDOL, YCMOU or IGNOU after passing a three-year civil engineering diploma?

No, it’s not possible to take lateral admission in a BA degree after completing a Civil Engineering diploma, in IDOL, YCMOU, or IGNOU. These two degrees are fundamentally different. You can get admission to BA after completing the course. But direct entry to second year isn’t possible.
IGNOU offers direct admission to some of its degree programs. For example, if you have done your BCA from IGNOU, you can join their 2 year MCA program through lateral admission. So, IGNOU lateral entry has fixed eligibility criteria. You won’t be eligible for direct admission to second year in IGNOU MCA if you completed your BCA from any other university.
