Pune University B.Ed admission 2023 is open now. The last date to apply is June 10, 2023, without late fees. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website – unipune.ac.in. Candidates clearing the entrance exam will have to appear for a counselling process.
The cut off for the general candidates ranges between 55%-60% every year.
The entrance examination is conducted in Marathi And English only.

Pune University BEd Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered eligible to apply to the Pune University (SPPU) BEd course, students need to fulfil certain eligibility criteria laid down by the admission authority as given below:

Candidates must have passed BA/ B Com/ B Sc or MA/ M Sc/ M Com or equivalent from a recognized university with an aggregate of at least 50% marks. Candidates of BTech or BE must have scored 55%.
5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks will be given for candidates belonging to the reserved category.

Admission to the Pune University BEd course will be done based on the candidate’s performance in the examination conducted by Pune University.
Candidates clearing the entrance examination will be called for a counselling process wherein they will be allotted the colleges where they are eligible to take admission.

How to Apply?

Students have to follow the below-mentioned steps in order to apply to Pune University Bed admissions:

Visit the official website of the Pune University
Register yourself using your mobile number and email id.
On successful registration, you will receive the registration number and password on your email id and registered mobile number.
Log in using your registration number and password
On login, the application form will appear on the screen. Fill the application form with correct details
In the next step, you have to upload scanned copies of passport size photographs, signature and other requisite documents.
Pay the requisite amount of application fee either online using Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking or offline using e-challan.

BEd Exam Pattern

BEd written exam is a pen and paper-based test that consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions, which are to be solved within a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes.

Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted. 0 marks are awarded/deducted for unattempted questions.

The format of the exam will be MCQ based on which for a question four alternative choices are given out of which one is correct. The below-mentioned table shows the name of the sections:

Pune University BEd Course Details

Pune University offers a 2-year full-time BEd course is divided into four semesters.
Students have to go through a total of 12 papers. Each of the papers shall have 10 marks as a sessional test.
There shall be two unit tests of 5 marks in each paper for these 10 marks. The pass mark is 40% of the total.

For engineering, the grace mark policies at Savitribai Phule Pune University are as follows. Every student will get 10 marks grace if there is only one subject backlog. For 50-50 pattern, the mark deviation will be 5-5. For 70-30 pattern, the mark deviation will be 7-3. If someone scored 37 marks or above in a subject, it will be cleared. One of my friends recently graduated from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). According to her, it is better to do anything rather than joining this institute. She mentioned some of the reasons that made her feel this way. The institute only focuses on making money and not actual education. The syllabus and curriculum followed by the institute are outdated. Practical training is not properly given, making students lag behind the industry demands. Basic things like a proper academic calendar are not provided. Re-evaluation is time-consuming and usually not done properly. A 60% from SPPU is not considered good enough for admission to other colleges. They do not consider it as first class. They are known to have the worst and uncooperative staff members. They are not at all helpful or considerate about any problem. It is suggested that you do not opt for SPPU as they are highly unprofessional. They do not have a proper way to conduct classes, assemblies, extracurricular activities and get involved in everything half-heartedly. SPPU is a good example of how a university should be not.
