• Candidate must have qualified the higher secondary examination (12th) with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as main subjects.
• The appearing students will also be eligible for qualifying examination and can also apply for admission.
• Admission will be based on the marks secured in JEE Advanced.

JEE consists of a 3-hour paper with 90 questions covering all relevant subject matter to the engineering field.

• Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are given equal weightage.
• The questions are objective type.

JEE Main Qualifying Cutoff

B.Tech admissions in IITs is based on JEE Advanced exam scores. Candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in the JEE Main examination are eligible to appear for the respected examination. The minimum qualifying marks for Unreserved category (General category) is set for 87.992241 and the maximum mark is 100. Those who have secured the minimum cutoff marks and are ranked under 2.5 lakh can appear for JEE Advanced 2021. The qualifying marks for each category is given in the table below:

IIT Indore B.Tech Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

IIT Indore B.Tech cutoff 2022 is the minimum rank to get admitted to the B.Tech program. The cutoff will be released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The cutoff depends on various factors such as rank secured in the JEE Advanced examination, availability of seats, choice filling, reservation criteria, etc. JoSAA 2022 round 5 closing ranks for general category students are tabulated below:

• Bachelors degree holder in a relevant subject will be eligible for admission in IIT Indore.
• Minimum 60% marks should be secured in the qualifying examination.
• Admission to M.Tech will be based on the performance in GATE.
  • GATE consists of a 3-hour paper with 65 questions covering all relevant subject matter to the field as studied at the undergraduate level.
  • Sections will be included in general aptitude as well as technical aspects.
  • The questions will be MCQ based.

• Undergraduateholderse holder in the relevant subject from a recognized university/institute.
• At least 60% marks secured in the qualifying examination.
• Admission to M.Sc will be based on the marks secured in the JAM.
  • JAM will be of 3 hours.
  • The exam will be of maximum 100 marks with negative marking for every wrong answer. 

GATE 2023 Qualifying Cutoff

GATE 2022 qualifying cutoff is the minimum mark required to register for the COAP 2022 counselling. There is a difference between the admission cutoff of the institute and minimum cutoff required for participation in the admission process/ counselling. IIT Indore MSc Data Science

IIT Indore in association with IIM Indore has introduced an MSc in Data Science and Management program. With a total seat intake of 200, the program is offered for 2 years in online mode. Also, a fee of INR 12 Lakhs for Indian participants and INR 15.6 Lacs for international participants is charged for the entire program. Additionally, the program consists of a total of 900 hours of learning spanning 14-15 hours per week of live lectures. Students under this program will be benefited from the faculty of both institutes. 

IIT Indore MSc Data Science Eligibility Criteria

To become eligible for the 2 years Online MSc Data Science program, the interested candidates must fill the following criteria and requirements before applying. 

• A bachelors/masters degree such as BTech/ BS/ BPharm/ BArch/ BDes/ BSc/ MSc/ MCA/ MBA with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
• Any equivalent degree with a minimum of two courses in Mathematics and one in Computer Programming at the qualifying degree level. 
• A valid CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ JAM scores of 2022/2021/2020. 

IIT Indore MSc Data Science Selection Criteria

The initial shortlisting of the candidates is done based on their applications submitted. The institute further calls the shortlisted candidates for an interview. However, the final admission will be granted to the candidates based on their performances in the interview. 

IIT Indore offers a two-year M.Sc program with the provision of converting to MSc + PhD (dual degree) at the end of the 3rd Semester. The program is being offered in five specializations, namely, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology, and Astronomy. If a student chooses to opt for M.Sc+Ph.D. after the third semester, they will earn a degree in both M.Sc and Ph.D.

For admission to the program, candidates need to appear for the IIT JAM entrance examination.

IIT Indore M.Sc+Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in the respective discipline with at least 60% marks from a recognized university or institute.
• A valid score in IIT JAM entrance examination.

Note: Students need to maintain a certain CGPA fixed by the institute in order to be eligible for M.Sc+Ph.D. after the third semester.

IIT Indore M.Sc+Ph.D. Selection Criteria

Selection of the candidates is done through the IIT JAM counseling process in which four rounds of admission are conducted. Seats are allocated on the basis of scores obtained in the JAM entrance test, choice filling, availability of seats, categories, and other factors.

IIT Indore M.Sc + PhD Application Process

• Visit the official JOAPS website
• Register by entering all the required details like the Candidate's Name, Email ID, mobile number, qualification, etc. 
• After registration, candidates will receive the Enrollment ID 
• Login to the JOAPS portal using Enrollment ID and password. 
• Fill the Application form, enter the number of papers and city preferences
• Upload scanned images of photograph and signature and SC/ST/PwD certificate (if applicable).
• Pay the online application fee and submit the IIT JAM application form. 

• Masters degree holder in a relevant subject can apply for admission in Ph.D programme.
• GATE qualification OR UGC/CSIR-JRF qualified candidate will be eligible for admission.
• Selection to Ph.D programme will be based on the Entrance examination / personal interview / academic performance.
