University of Jammu offers M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines. Candidates who have completed a master degree with 55% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for admission.

The departmental entrance test consists of Research (Descriptive Type) and Academic components with 50 marks each.
